Literally a ten-minute wait for a to-go coffee. One member of staff responsible for cashing up and making coffees. Two other members of staff just running around doing nothing instead of…I don’t know…helping out. If they were all super busy, this would all be perfectly fine. But there was no rush detected from any one them like this was a very normal situation for them. Customer just gotta wait.
There is a reason you get to-go coffee… if I had ten minutes I would’ve sat down.
And if they say it’s a small operation etc. I spend more than half of my time in London, where I only go to small indie coffee shops and somehow I never had to wait 10 minutes for a coffee.
It feels more like the customer is just not taken that seriously here. Zero stars for that experience.
I had lovely experiences in here in January when I was literally the first person in. (With a lovely female...
Read moreI have no idea where all high ratings are coming from and who called this place „breakfast club“, if all you get there for breakfast is eggs and porridge for an extremely high price, with 2 slices of burnt bread (they also have French toast and waffle in menu, but sugar is no proper breakfast, science says).
We were asked if we had a reservation (no), and then my husband was handed a stool instead of a proper armchair. Ok. We had to wait for about 20-30 minutes for our fried eggs to arrive. When I complained about our bread being burnt, the waitress said „no, it’s normal“(check my pic:) 🤯 she still brought some extra bread though(also burnt 🤣 so I guess serving burnt bread is normal at this place).
Eggs tasted like eggs. and costed 13€. I mean, breakfast club? Seriously? Maybe try to make up some really creative and delicious breakfasts? Go somewhere else to eat your...
Read moreWe went to the Bartels Breakfast Club for breakfast. It was already well attended at 09:30. Therefore, best to reserve a table. We went there on recommendation and were a little disappointed. The interior is very nice, the food looks great, but it didn't really blow us away. We had the Avo Stulle and a porridge. Both were ok, but not that special. For example, the Stulle was very dry, the porridge very average in taste. We had expected more from it. The prices are a bit above average. The service was good, you sit there very comfortably. The flat white was also delicious. Vegetarian and vegan dishes are...
