The food? Outstanding. Every dish was flavorful, fresh, and beautifully presented. The portions were surprisingly generous for a tapas place, and the prices were more than fair – excellent value for the quality and quantity you get.

The service was just as impressive. Friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming staff made us feel right at home from the start to the end of the evening.

This restaurant was a pleasant surprise to us, having tried other tapas restaurants in Hamburg and generally being underwhelmed. Deseo is different - the quality of the food is very good, and some of the dishes quite innovative (for instance the goat cheese potatoe gratin or red beet with goat cheese carpaccio). The menu is very extensive with many vegetarian and vegan options, probably among the best selections we have seen in Hamburg. We tried six different dishes and were very pleased with them all. The staff is friendly but probably not among the most attentive we have experienced. Overall all the Tapas were good. The price was ok, slightly high, but ok. Pannacotta with warm berry sauce was too sweet. It'd been much better if the sauce was less and more Pannacotta. But for sweet tooth, it's good, I guess? The staff was friendly and active but they didn't notice the customers. We waited quite long for them to notice us.
