District45 Restaurant — Restaurant in Hamburg

We went to District on Thursday as a group of four, mainly because of the many positive reviews. For a Thursday evening with nice weather, the terrace was quite busy. The service was friendly and polite, but in my view the preparation of our four meals took too long. When paying, we were told that someone in the kitchen had called in sick at short notice. However, when we asked the waiter for the bill, we were forgotten and eventually had to go to the counter ourselves to pay.

I ordered salmon with vegetables in a mix of fish and teriyaki sauce, served with rice on the side. The portion size was sufficient, and the salmon was well prepared and tasted fresh – though it was more of a solid standard than a real highlight. The others in our group were satisfied overall. Personally, I would not return, as the food was decent but not good enough to justify...

Ein wirklich tolles vietnamesisches Restaurant! Besonders das Pho Bo hat mich begeistert – die Brühe ist unglaublich aromatisch, klar und gleichzeitig voller Tiefe, so wie man es sich wünscht. Die Nudeln sind perfekt gegart, das Rindfleisch butterzart und die frischen Kräuter, Limette und Chili geben dem Ganzen genau die richtige Balance. Man merkt sofort, dass hier mit viel Liebe und Erfahrung gekocht wird.

Auch die restliche Karte bietet eine große Auswahl an Klassikern, von Sommerrollen bis hin zu leckeren Reis- und Nudelgerichten, alles frisch zubereitet und sehr ansprechend angerichtet. Der Service ist aufmerksam, freundlich und gleichzeitig angenehm unaufdringlich.

Die Preise sind absolut fair, vor allem, wenn man die Qualität und die Portionen berücksichtigt. Dazu kommt eine gemütliche Atmosphäre – modern, aber trotzdem authentisch und einladend. Ideal sowohl für ein schnelles Mittagessen als auch für einen entspannten Abend mit Freunden.

Fazit: Wer in der Nähe ist und vietnamesisches Essen liebt, sollte hier unbedingt vorbeischauen. Für mich eine gute Pho Bo, in Hamburg– absolut...

We ordered pho to go, but it wasn’t very good. At €14.90, it felt overpriced for something so average. With many great and cheaper Asian restaurants around, they should improve to stay competitive. Place and atmosphere is nice as well as their service.
