This restaurant is located near by the harbor area and 30 min away from the Hamburg central station. My girlfriend and I visited for lunch during the Euro2024. The food was okay. We ordered fried eggs with potatoes and a classic burger. The eggs were very good - they come with baked potatoes, crispy crumbs of bacon and a small salad. The burger was average (not great, not terrible). Despite the meat was good, the rest of the burger didn't add any extra value to the experience. In my opinion a better bread bun or cheese could make a big difference (just my personal opinion though). Portion sizes are big. With the service we had a bittersweet experience. We were attended by two different persons. One was super nice and attentive, the other one was close to rude. Despite this, they were efficient, orders were delivered timely, and you can pay with card. Overall, it was an okay experience and it is not expensive (considering the average price you pay in the city).

Solid German Style restaurant. Prices are average and food is pretty good. I had the Scholle (flounder) with pan fried potatoes, it was good. A bit boney so if you are not used to fileting a fish, go with the Backfisch. That's what my wife had, she enjoyed it a lot. I'm not a fan of potato salad but I tried the fish and it was perfect. Disappointing was the dessert, the Spaghetti Eis. Being from Mannheim where the Spaghetti Eis was invented, this premade too frozen version didn't even come close to a real Spaghetti Eis. Definitely try something else. Service was very friendly and for German standards fairly prompt. Good place to try once when in town.

18.07.2022 Update after receiving reply from the restaurant: Ok, you have well planned processes and the food was not served within 5 or 10mins as you said BUT it still didn't justify why we received lukewarm food! --------------------- 08.07.2022 Came with group of friends, we took 2 long tables. Orders were taken fast and food also served fast, less than 10mins for both tables, and we were 9 pax! Restaurant was full at that time. So it really got us wondering! Of course our food were just lukewarm. Salmon burger, the salmon wasn't even hot. Burger buns were only warm.

The restaurant is a must try whenever you’re in Hamburg. As simple as that. My experience was great and it set the standard very high for the restaurant of the city that I’ll visit. The burgers are great, very juicy, fair priced and good sized. The fish is also really good. The place was full when I visited (which definitely speaks well of the restaurant), but the waiting time wasn’t long and the food was served almost immediately. I found very interesting that they had their own sauces such as mayonnaise and ketchup. They were tasty. Would love to come back!

Hamburg and fish goes hand in hand, so my husband and I were on the hunt for a casual restaurant to grab some fish and chips style dinner. Luckily this place is close to our hotel (in walking distance to Hafencity and Speicherstadt) has nice outside seating and delicious food. We both had the backfisch with bratkartoffeln and enjoyed it. The next time I would definitely replace the baked potatoes with potato and cucumber salad - this might add a fresh kick to the dish. Recommend this place if you enjoy a casual atmosphere with pub style food.

1st time in Hamburg got into the city late. We were happy to see this place open. Unfortunately the guy at front was very rude. He seemed bothered by us. We asked if their was takeaway orders allowed. He said "no!" Than walked away, we didn't mind so we got his attention again asked if we could sit outside at the tables. He just swooed us like whatever! But after we were done with him our server was super kind and helpful. Food was great, we didn't let him ruin our 1st stop in Hamburg.
