My visit to Restaurant Balutschistan Altona was deeply disappointing, not only due to the subpar food quality but also because of the unprofessional and discriminatory attitude of the staff—particularly the owner. Rather than creating a welcoming environment, they were openly rude and dismissive towards customers of different nationalities, making the dining experience uncomfortable and uninviting. The food itself was a disaster. Everything seemed pre-cooked and simply reheated before being served. I had ordered Lahori Channa, and despite clearly informing them about my allergy to mushrooms, I found pieces of it in my dish. When I raised the issue, they showed no concern and refused to replace my meal. Instead, they told me I would have to order a new dish at an additional cost. There was no apology, no acknowledgment of their mistake—just a complete lack of responsibility.
While I was dining, I also witnessed a local German customer having a hard time with the staff. He had specifically ordered a mild dish, but his food was excessively spicy. Instead of accommodating him or offering a replacement, the staff dismissed his complaint and refused to help.
The quality of food was terrible, and the service was even worse. The owner’s attitude towards certain nationalities made the experience even more disappointing. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone, especially those who expect basic respect, proper service, and food...

As a Pakistani restaurant, I expected a welcoming atmosphere. Instead, the staff was extremely rude and disrespectful towards Indian guests. Their way of speaking and overall attitude made us feel unwelcome.
The food was equally disappointing. Everything seemed to be pre-cooked and was merely reheated before being served. As a vegetarian, I ordered Palak Paneer but found an unknown piece—possibly eggplant or mushroom—in my dish. When I brought this to the staff’s attention, my concern was completely dismissed. They simply stated that the chef used the same spoon for different dishes in the kitchen, and it may have accidentally ended up in my food. There was no apology, just a casual response. What if it had been meat? This lack of hygiene awareness and indifference is unacceptable.

Instead of offering to replace it or find a solution, the staff refused to accommodate him. His frustration was obvious, yet his complaint was simply ignored.

Read moreWe had a piece of glass in our food- my wife almost bite it!! ...first the manager send few shots (?) to say sorry- didnt even show up personally. Just at the end he showed up to say sorry and offered us to pay less (-15€)
He promised that they cleaned everything after I showed him the piece of glass... the main point is they didnt bother the other guests and also didnt warn them or anything like that (maybe the guests had small pieces of glass in their food??). The service was also slow & chaotic during our visit (restaurant was not full).
Sometimes you can add too much salt into the food etc. but a piece of glass is no go... especially they way they managed the whole issue was far from professional... I hope it was the first and the last time with a piece of glass in the dishes but it was my first and last...
