Milazzo — Restaurant in Hanover

This is the second time we've ordered food here, as my friends are regulars and talked about the food so much that I thought the Italian place must be really great.

The restaurant is family-run and the owner is also the chef. Funnily enough, his name is Ahmet, but he introduces himself to everyone as Pasquale and imitates an Italian accent.

He and his wife are definitely super friendly and accommodating.

The food, on the other hand, is rather average. We had several dishes and desserts, none of which could really convince. Especially the tiramisu was extremely dry from the top and drowned in espresso from the bottom.

Die guten Bewertungen haben uns bewegt, das Restaurant mal auszuprobieren. Jedoch hätten die wenig aktuellen Bewertungen stutzig machen sollen. Zu Recht. Allgemein ein netter Gartenbereich zum draussen Essen. Bedienung war nett, mehr aber auch nicht. Essen jedoch war überwiegend sehr schlecht. Was auch immer Räucherlachs mit einer Senf Dillsauce auf einem Antipasti Teller zu suchen hat, aber Geschmackssache. Aber dieser war bereits an einigen Stellen abgetrocknet, ebenso die kleinen Stückchen Frittata, Brot war gefühlt auch vom Vortag. Die Pizza war soweit auch ok, aber auch hier viel Luft nach oben. Der Wein war das Beste am gesamten Abend. Die Krönung war die Spaghetti Alla Carbonara. Auf der Karte stand "Speck-Ei Sauce nach original italienischem Rezept". I used to go to this restaurant as a kid, so this really has a big nostalgic factor for me, especially cause the food still tastes just as good and the waiters are just as friendly. I can only recommend going here if you like...
