We were excited about this space when we arrived. We were looking forward to changing it up from the German meals we’d been having on our travels and the outdoor patio was so inviting. The man who greeted us wasn’t super friendly and it turned out he didn’t speak any English. Quite big place, and still almost completely full on Sunday afternoon. Meat (Athens Teller) was great and more than enough, plus it comes with separate plates of salad (regarding the size, on a second thought ultra-wide objective photos do not give a proper justice to the actual size of the plate). Leider ein Once-in-a-lifetime Besuch. Also im negativen Sinn. Wir wollten für 18:00 Uhr einen Tisch reservieren, sollten aber um 17:30 Uhr kommen, weil es ab 18:00 Uhr „sehr voll“ werden würde. Ok. Angekommen, war das Restaurant tatsächlich sehr leer. Trotzdem wurden wir mit unserem „Pitbull“ (Spoiler: Wir haben einen ruhigen Schäferhund) an den Rand des Biergartens direkt zum Corona-Testzelt verbannt. Hinterhof-Romantik nenn man das glaube ich. Den Tisch mussten wir natürlich selbst erst suchen gehen, da die Bedienung ja bereits mit dem anderen besetzten Tisch voll ausgelastet war. Hingesetzt, Essen und Getränke bei den etwas freundlicheren männlichen Bedienungen bestellt. Nächste Enttäuschung: das Radler mit Bier vom Fass schmeckte in etwa so, wie wenn man eine Sprite und eine Dose Bier öffnet und zwei Tage später ineinander kippt.
