We arrived on a very hot day, just wanting a cold drink after having cycled up the hill.

A nice location with lots of seating with shade from either the trees, parasols or the covered terrace which is where we sat. There is plenty of car parking close by and the 38 bus stops right outside.

The Weizenbier was only cooled, nowhere near cold enough.

Although we had not ordered food, three times food was brought to us by different members of staff. The food was then taken from table to table, asking who had ordered it... . It wasn't even busy, less than half full.

If the above failings were corrected I'd give it 5 stars, but at the moment it's run very amateurishly. Table numbering would make sure the food went to the right table and a decent refrigeration system for the...

Didn't eat here as I was alone with my three kids ages 6, 4, and 2, but sure wished I could have. The secluded forested setting is magical, with SO many historical things to explore in the immediate vicitinity and its own dedicated parking lot (and a large Wanderparkplatz right near it if the former is full). I couldn't believe how busy it was on a Thursday September 2022 afternoon, but there were two tourist buses in the parking lot, which I imagine contributed. Even with a large crowd, there were many remaining tables and the menu items were quite tempting. Definitely try to make a stop here for a drink or dinner when visiting the must-see...
