Augustiner Bräu Theresienhof - Illinger Haus — Restaurant in Ingolstadt

I really wanted to write a nice review because it looked great from inside and outside but there are a few things I did not like. There are no menus in English. The waiter said if we want the English menu to come back after two weeks because they are printed now. I had Wiener Schnitzel with french fries. The schnitzel was greasy, and the french fries were dry, and tasted like they were from yesterday. When I wanted to pay my bill the waiter gave me 8 Euro less change from what I expected. The whole bill was 22 Euro and 8 Euro for what I ate is too much. There were two menus, one was the standard menu and the other was a list with food options. The Wiener Schnitzel in one of the menus was 14.90 Euro and the other menu was 7.80 Euro. I asked the waiter what the difference is, he said the cheaper Schnitzel is the same like the normal but it is a side dish for the Asparagus. Me and my colleagues were amazed because it is for the first time we here that the main dish actualy is a side dish.

If you travel with a vehicle, it might be a good option to leave it somewhere else. I did not notice...

1st bad custumer service. Anything that we asked the waitress her response was always I dont know I'm just as mini job. She had no clue on what to recommend. In my opinion if you hire someone to work even if its a few times a month then the employees should be thought a little about the dishes. 2nd the food was terrible. I ordered a burger the buns were soaked in oil and then toasted, you could literally squeeze the oil out. I asked for medium rare and it was 90% rare. Sorry but no thank you...

It was the first time that I visited this place but not the last one. I’ve never paid attention to this restaurant however I’ve lived in this town for years. It’s a German restaurant with all the typical dishes that you should try if you didn’t born here. We were sitting upstairs and it was really comfortable and enough place for our group.
