NineOfive — Restaurant in Jena

We came here to celebrate our wedding anniversary and to eat entre, main and dessert. TL;DR: The food was great but service really terrible. Well, I honestly can't remember the last time I didn't leave a tip at a restaurant, let alone write a negative review. We arrived early (+- 5:45 pm) and were the second guests to get a table. Many more guests arrived in the next 45 minutes with only 1 waiter. Therefore, we were understanding and didn't mind to wait a bit, as it's hard to attend multiple tables simultaneously. But even as a second staff member arrived, we were still ignored. When we could order, we were told that multiple pizzas of the already limited menu were unavailable, and the food came out super slowly. Our wines finally arrived when we had almost finished our main courses, and we had to wait another whopping 20 minutes for someone to come to our table after we finished eating. By that time our baby (who was super happy and didn't fuss, cry or distracted anyone until that point) was tired and cranky so we had to skip desert. Then we waited another 10 minutes before we could finally pay, with multiple guests who arrived before us having had deserts and paying their bills. I honestly don't understand how the staff could mismanage their guests this much. Maybe because we were seated in a corner? Firstly it has soooo delicious pizzas. Specially Margherita. I always try Margherita and undoubtly it is one of the best that I tried. I could not imagine how they can make this simple pizza that much good. Ask the waitor to bring you his recommended wine. Then you will really enjoy your drink. They just serve wine and water to drink. When you enter to the restaurant the way is not easy to find and there is no one to help you to find the way. The balcony looks nice when you are outside the restaurant and you look at it from tram station, but when you are in the balcony there is not a special view maybe even less than normal view. I didnt like that they gave us the menu when we were looking for the table and they didnt bring it for us after finding the table and sitting. Also there was not vegeterian food in the menu. Set: Ein Freund schwärmt vom überhaupt besten Pizzarestaurant im Umkreis von 50km und wir treffen uns zu 9 an einem Sonntag 17 Uhr dort. Größtenteils Akademiker, verbunden über gemeinsamen Sport.

Setting: Ganz gutes Ambiente, viel Platz und Ruhe.

Erfahrung: Das Essen (Pizza) hat wirklich klasse geschmeckt und ist vom Preis im Rahmen dessen, was man heute zahlt. Wir hatten viel Spaß und waren gut gelaunt, aber man merkte schnell, dass die Bedienung nicht so recht gut gelaunt zu sein schien (w). Besagter Freund, der kräftig die Werbetrommel rührte war wohl schon sehr oft da und hat viel getan uns "den Laden" in optimalem Licht zu präsentieren.

Es Schien alles etwas extravagant, die Weinkarte war so dick wie ein Telefonbuch und es sei wohl "der neue shizzle" Pizza und Wein so zu verheiraten. Nichtsdestotrotz hat keiner von uns Wein bestellt und ich fragte mich schon, warum keiner die -pro Platz je 2 überflüssigen Gläser abräumt, wenn das doch hier so "high level" läuft. Nunja, es kam dazu, dass ein Glas umfiel und kaputt ging... kann mal passieren, schon 1000x mal erlebt, aber bei NlneOFive kommt das auf die Rechnung (10€!!!) weil es ja "extra für NinoOFive Mundgefertigt" wurde. Hier kann man das übrigens kaufen, gleicher Preis: https://jena.nineofive.de/bestellung ...klar, verkauf' uns doch dein Industrieglas mit Aufdruck für den gleichen Preis wie im Merch-Shop, obwohl das auch zum Selbstkostenpreis ginge, weil das nun mal passieren kann.

Es gab noch das ein oder andere Thema, wie beispielsweise den Fakt, dass besagter hyped Freund Hausverbot erhielt, weil er das noch mal ansprach und es dann im Streit mit besagter Bedienung weiter eskalierte.

Kurzum, essen wirklich top. Ambiente auch, bis auf die Stühle die wie in Klassenzimmer aussehen. Service grummelig, kritikunfähig und absolut kundenunfreundlich.

3/5 weil man wahrscheinlich selten was kaputt macht und die Erfahrung dann möglicherweise besser ist und für mich war alles gut... allerdings hat mich das gesehene so abgeschreckt, dass ich wahrscheinlich nicht noch mal vorbei...
