Madhu — Restaurant in Königs Wusterhausen

I’ve been a frequent diner at Madhu restaurant over the years, but my recent experience was a major letdown.

In the past, this restaurant was known for its delicious food, great service, and clean environment. Unfortunately, it seems like things have changed for the worse.

On my latest visit, I noticed a significant drop in the quality of the food and service. The meal I was served was far below the standards I had come to expect, with dishes lacking flavor and freshness. The service was slow and inattentive, which made the experience even more disappointing.

What’s more concerning is that I ended up with food poisoning after dining here. This was not only distressing but also made me seriously question the hygiene and food safety practices at the restaurant.

It’s a shame to see such a good place go downhill. I hope the management addresses these issues, but as it stands, I can no longer recommend and would advise others to...

Who would’ve thought that this little sleepy town offers such great, authentic Indian cuisine… I have actually eaten here several times and never had food that I didn’t like. Even though I’m not a vegetarian, my favorite dish is Mattar Paneer; I just love this Indian cheese delicacy. The service is very friendly, and on most days the restaurant owner will walk through the restaurant frequently; welcoming news guests, happily greeting returning patrons, and checking if everything is satisfactory. Da ich wußte, daß auf der Speißekarte auch vegane Gerichte angeboten werden, bin ich vor der Nachtschicht, extra noch einen Umweg gefahren, da ich noch was essen mußte, aber für zu Hause mir die Zeit fehlte. Ich nahm Platz und sagte, daß ich das vegane Gericht 107 möchte. Ich bekam zur Antwort, daß er nicht für mich zuständig ist und blieb anderthalb Meter vor meinen Tisch stehen und starrte auf mich weiter runter. Ich sah weg, denn ich wollte nur schnell essen und los und daher keine Diskussionen. Aber schon mal nervend. Dann kam der Kellner. Ich war vor einem Jahr da und wußte, daß ich mich damals schon über diesen geärgert hatte, aber wußte nicht mehr worüber. Ich wiederholte, daß ich die vegane 107 möchte. Als das Essen kam und ich ein wenig aß, fragte ich mich, was das für ein seltsamer Tofu ist und seit wann denn Inder mit Tofu kochen? Ist das ihr Käse? Im Veganen Gericht? Ich fragte nach. Er erklärte mir, das, daß Fleisch ist. Da ich seid ende der 90 keins mehr gegessen hatte und ich nicht mehr wußte, wie geschmacklos es an sich ist, hatte ich es nicht erkannt. Ich sagte: ich hatte vegan bestellt. Er antwortete, ja die 107. Ich ja, eben. Er, ja es ist vegan. Mit Fleisch? Ja die Soße ist mit Kokosnussmilch. Ich sagte, daß ich das nicht zahle und mir das zu dumm mit Ihnen ist. Er sagte: verstehen sie denn nicht, es ist mit Kokosnussmilch, also vegan. Fazit: Zwei Kellner, ein Barmann und mindestens ein Koch, sind so unfassbar Dumm, das sie zwar Vegan auf die Karte schreiben, aber nicht wissen, was das ist.
