Chen Ji China Imbiss — Restaurant in Karlsruhe

The foods here are quite delicious and worth the price. Been here a few times and I like that they serve different menu compared to other quick chinese places commonly found elsewhere. For that i add 1 more star overall. My fav menu so far: The noodle soups and No. 73 (Auberginen mit Schweinehackfleisch) I see lots of tables also order the Ma Po Tofu (No. 74) and Kung Pao Chicken (No. 38)

It‘s a one man business. Very busy a lot of the times so be patient. The owner cooks quickly but he’s only one person. He looks stern most of the times but he is also seemingly very friendly to his regulars (not me).

A new Chinese restaurant in town and its quality is quite good! My colleague told me that this is Southwest China cuisine and it is certainly different than other chinese restaurants i've tried. From the dishes we tried, the flavors were more mild and not spicy/numbing at all. They seem to use less oil for the stir fry dishes, which is a good plus too. The noodle dishes seem to be using fresh noodles and have this chewy al dente texture that i like so i would suggest it (tip: ask for chinese vinegar to put in the soup).
