Shinyu Sushi House — Restaurant in Kassel

Ich habe bisher immer nur fertiges Sushi aus dem Supermarkt gegessen sowohl Sushi in anderen Restaurants in Kassel ... Eine Freundin legte es mir jedoch nahe hier mal essen zu gehen, aber damit ich es wirklich auch machte ließ sie mich von ihrem Sushi probieren, dass sie sich bei unseren Kassel Ausflug zum mitnehmen holte. Die "To-Go" Box ist klasse und allein dafür gibt es ein großes Pluspunkt, dass man Sushi bequem mitnehmen kann ... Die Auswahl ist riiiiiiesig und wenn man es vorher noch nicht so kannte leider etwas überfordernd. Aber auf der Karte steht alles drauf was man wissen muss und man kann sich auch Karten mit nach Hause nehmen und die quasi vor weg studieren um schon zu Hause zu entscheiden, was man essen möchte. Was ich auch tat bevor ich dort im Restaurant essen ging.

Die Miso Suppe ist so lecker!!! Und der grüne Tee ist auch erstaunlich lecker! Und das sagt jemand, dem zuvor grüner Tee wirklich nicht geschmeckt hat! Ich persönlich bin dem "Negi Tekka Maki" (gekochter Thunfisch) verfallen, habe aber auch schon weitere Sushi Arten probiert - auch Seetang Salat - und bisher nichts dabei gehabt, was mir nicht schmeckte.

Beim ersten Mal war ich so begeistert vom Essen, dass ich sogar dachte, dass ich nicht alles bekommen hatte, weil ich so viel gegessen hatte und es mir nicht viel vorkam ...

Zum Essen werden traditionell Stäbchen gereicht, aber soweit ich weiß, bekommt man auch Gabeln, wenn man möchte. Ich hatte große Angst davor mit Stäbchen zu essen, aber das Sushi ist so fest zubereitet, dass da nichts runterfällt und man auch als Laie mit dem Stäbchen essen kann ... mit jedem Besuch fällt es mir leichter mit Stäbchen zu essen und bereitet mir auch keine Sorge mehr.

Die Atmosphäre ist ruhig und entspannend. Außerdem finde ich es toll, dass man je nach Sitzplatz bei der Zubereitung zu sehen kann, wie das Sushi gerollt wird.

Ich gehe inzwischen dort sehr, sehr gerne essen und ist mein Lieblingsrestaurant in Kassel geworden und ein absolutes MUSS für mich bei meinen...

Honestly, this place is overrated. Coming from Asia, haven tried so much perfect Sushi in both Europe and Asia, I can confidently (CI 95%) state that the Sushi here is below average: the main reason is that the rice tastes in a poor condition for Sushi, as another reviewer pointed out. Plus, the service was extremely slow, I wouldn't blame this is a common thing though, possibly because we came on Sunday evening. Lastly, I would assume the high rating is because local people haven't got exposed to enough "good sushi" yet. Hence I wouldn't suspect it is still the "best place in town". Just don't maintain a high expectation when you come from...

We were here today around 7pm. We order our food and we had to wait more than 45 minutes. When the order came, it was mistakenly done. We told the waitress but we decided to have it as it was cause we didn’t want to wait for an other 45minutes. The food was ok, just average nothing special. Then the 3rd party came and he order a beer. The beer was never served and we just payed our bill and left. The waitress said “sorry” many times (and of course I don’t blame her) but they could not even served a simple beer without a long wait.
