I am still dreaming about my Quinoa Mango Bowl from Seebar, it was honestly one of the freshest, most flavourful dishes I’ve had in a long time. The combination of fluffy quinoa, sweet juicy mango, crisp greens, and perfectly balanced toppings was an explosion of textures and flavours that felt both indulgent and nourishing at the same time. It’s one of those meals where every bite just gets better and better.

The environment at Seebar is equally as special. The atmosphere is bright, relaxed, and welcoming, with a kind of effortless charm that instantly makes you feel at ease. It’s the perfect mix of cozy and lively, you could come here with friends for a long chat, bring your family for a relaxed meal, or simply sit solo with good food and soak in the vibe.

Service was another highlight. The staff were attentive, friendly, and genuinely warm, the kind of people who make you feel like a regular even if it’s your first time there. Nothing felt rushed or transactional; instead, it felt like they cared about creating a great dining experience for everyone.

Both my cousin and I ordered the Quinoa Mango Bowl, and we were not disappointed. Nina added goat’s cheese to hers, which was such a game-changer, creamy, tangy, and the perfect complement to the sweetness of the mango. Safe to say, I’ll definitely be copying her order next time!

And speaking of next time, I have to admit… the last slide is me happily polishing off Nina’s leftovers for lunch the next day 😋. That’s how good it was, I couldn’t let a single bite go to waste.

Seebar, you will See me again very soon, and next time I’ll be bringing my whole family, because food this good deserves...

Location ist (leider) nicht alles!

Seit langem hat es mich heute mal wieder in die Seebar gezogen. Um es vorweg zu nehmen ... so schnell wird mich dort auch nichts wieder hinziehen. Den einen Stern muss ich zumindest für die weiterhin tolle Lage vergeben. Dann hört es aber auch schon auf. Selbstbedienung, ok, das Konzept ist bekannt. Die Bedienung - Chef und Pächter - himself, erbarmte sich nach längerem warten ohne ein freundliches Wort der Begrüßung das wartende Volk zu bedienen. Selten habe ich jedoch soetwas lustlosloses, rotziges und unfreundliches erlebt. Die Wartezeit war unnötig lang, da der gute Mann den Eindruck vermittelte, dass Kundenservice und DIenstleistung nicht sein Herzblut sind. Ich bestellte eine stille Saftschorle (5,50€) und 1 Stück Kuchen (5€). Den Auftrag zur Zubereitung gab er dann weiter an seine Bedienung - die sogleich zur Tat schritt und die Saftschorle mit Leitungswasser zubereitete. Auf meinen Einwand hin, dass ich den vollen Preis zahle und erwarte, dass dann die Schorle ebenso mit Flaschenwasser zubereitet wird wie eine Schorle mit Sprudel, wurde o.g. Herr sehr ungehalten. Für den einen Kunden am Tag, der eine stille Schorle bestellt, würde er keine Flasche extra öffnen. Auf meinen Hinweis, dass er dies bei der Bestellung hätte kommunizieren können und müssen, wurde er noch unfreundlicher. Saft sei nun mal das teuerste an dem Getränk und der sei ja schließlich genauso enthalten. Ich erklärte ihm, dass man dieses Flaschenwasser (wenn es denn diese 1 Flasche Wasser am Tag ist) im Rahmen einer Mischkalkulation einer Bar sicher verbuchen kann und sollte. Guter Kundenservice sieht anders aus und ich erwarte entweder einen Hinweis, dass dann Leitungswasser genutzt wird, oder eine Preisanpassung. Mir wurde dann gesagt, dass ich beim nächsten Mal einen Saft und eine Flasche zu bestellen habe (wohlgmerkt, das ergibt einen Preis von 7,90€ für eine Schorle). Ich habe dankend abgelehnt und zum Ausdruck gebracht, dass ich nicht glaube, dass es so schnell ein nächstes Mal geben wird. Herr Chef/Pächter machte mir dann auch deutlich, dass ich gerne besser auf einen weiteren Besuch verzichten solle.

Schade, der schier nur nach Zucker schmeckende Kuchen, dreckige Tische und die doch extrem stolzen Preise konnten leider über den Kundenumgang nicht hinweg sehen lassen und haben das schlechte Gesammterlebnis leider verstärkt. Wenn das die feine Hamburger Art ist... Schade, die brauchen wir hier in Kiel nicht! Freundlichkeit muss nix kosten oder übertrieben sein - und nur von Einmalbesuchern kann sicher kein Lokal auf...

Nice location, good views. But …. somehow short of staff. Ordered white wine and coke which came quickly. Then a strawberry cake with cream and a bread and sausage platter. Strawberry cake came after 20 minutes without cream (cake lacked sugar so not the expected experience) platter came after complaining and 3 wines and 40 minutes (simple cut sausage and bread!) - inaceptable - took to much time. Waitress excused the cream and informed that around that time the kitchen is busy (even though the pubic area was half empty). Somewhat all answers with a slight attitude defending the Bar not the customer. Overall not a great experience - tables on the left and right were also complaining about slow service. Gave me one of my 3 wines for free for the issues - still had expected more, was here some years back with a packed house and without...
