Hanoi Restaurant — Restaurant in Leipzig

It was the most delicious Vietnamese food I've ever had in Germany, and the closest I've ever had to the flavors of mainland Vietnam, so I was very satisfied. Other Vietnamese restaurants I've been to in Germany have been unsatisfactory because they've been fusions of flavors and forms that have been altered to suit German tastes, but not this one, which was very satisfying.

We visited around 12:30 on a weekday and had to share a table with another customer as there were no vacancies. We could see other diners coming in until about 1:00 and they were also table-sharing with other teams with less people. If you don't want to share a table, just wait for a table to open up.

After 1:30, we started to notice a few empty tables.

The food was very good, Despite the large number of guests, it didn't take long to get our food. It came out faster than expected and the ingredients seemed to be of good quality.

I paid 27.5 euros for two people, which was quite filling and delicious, which I think is a good value for the quality of the food.

It's not close to my house, which is a shame, but I'll definitely be coming back here again when I'm craving Vietnamese food, even if it's worth the hassle. I think it's worth the hassle to eat delicious, traditional Vietnamese food, and this place is...

I cannot say that this is the best place you can get Vietnamese food in Leipzig, but it is where you can get a lot of Vietnamese dishes which are not presented in many other restaurants here. If you like to observe an entertaining (and also mildly illegal) scene here, when the Bun Cha grilling booth fills the whole Song Xuan market with its smoke, then come around on Friday morning/lunch. It reminds me so much of Vietnam. Food is acceptable for its price point, and you can always all before hand to order your food, or even order it in family set (5KG of Banh Cuon? No problem!). I tried their Vietnamese dishes last week then saw how the sushi looked on the next table so i had to return again to try it which didn’t disappoint ! they have many vegan/vegetarian dishes ,so my friend wasn’t left out and we enjoyed an equally delicious meal. I love the decor( specially the hundred lucky cats all over the bar haha) and the vibes. The service was lovely and so was the food!!
