With high expectations based on the glowing reviews, my girlfriend and I decided to have dinner here, sharing two appetizers, each ordering a main course, and rounding off the evening with a shared dessert.

The appetizers set a strong start—while the summer rolls were a total hit, perfectly balanced in flavor and paired with an outstanding dipping sauce, the Pan Bao left us feeling a bit underwhelmed. It lacked that extra punch to make it memorable.

For the mains, my Udon noodles with chicken were quite enjoyable. A slightly more generous portion of chicken would have been ideal, and the cucumbers could have used a bit more marination to enhance their depth. On the other hand, my girlfriend’s sweet and sour dish was an absolute winner, packed with bold, satisfying flavors. The dessert—Monchies with vanilla ice cream and red berries—wrapped things up on a high note, offering a well-rounded, comforting finish.

Service was excellent—attentive yet unobtrusive, exactly how you want it. The atmosphere was decent, though not the most comfortable for a long, leisurely dinner. Some seating was a bit awkward, and with the frequent opening of doors for takeout orders, an occasional cold draft made its way inside, which wasn’t ideal.

From a culinary perspective, this place is absolutely worth a visit. While I wouldn’t necessarily pick it for a romantic dinner, we’ll definitely be coming back for...

I love Vacay. Four months ago I went there for the first time and I absolutely loved it. Since then, I do not go to any other sushi restaurant. There are many reasons why. First, Vacay offers good prices considering the top quality ingredients they use. There are other fancy sushi restaurants in Leipzig that charge you way more for the same dish. Second, it does not matter whether you eat there or order takeout, the quality is always the same. They even pack the special sauces that some rolls include. That does not happen with every sushi restaurant. Third, the delivery times are short and fast. I think almost always the delivery person arrived 15 minutes before expected. Visited on a seemingly busy day, I ordered the Boracay drink which was absolutely fantastic and the only reason they get a 2nd star :) I normally don't leave reviews but when our food came out, the skewers were cold and the main dish itself was undercooked entirely. The chicken mango curry would have been tasty if the vegetables were even the slightest cooked. The breading on the chicken was nice but the chicken itself was rubbery and inedible. Bamboo was tasty as well as the rice. All in all, it's an expensive place and maybe we were unlucky but definitely not worth the price. We couldn't even finish our dinner because it was so bad.
