Milano im Westend — Restaurant in Münster

We had the pleasure of dining at an Italian restaurant Milano im westend recently and were thoroughly impressed.

Highlights:

Freshly Baked Products: All the dishes were freshly prepared, which was evident in the quality and taste.

Pizza: The pizza dough was wonderfully fluffy, providing the perfect base for a delicious meal.

Pasta: The pasta was exceptionally tasty, and it seemed to be homemade, adding to its authenticity and flavor.

Ice Cream: They offered a separate area for selling ice cream, which was not only reasonably priced but also incredibly delicious, exceeding our expectations.

Room for Improvement:

If the staff could be a bit more friendly and understanding with families with young, crying children, it would enhance the overall experience.

The pasta portions could be a bit larger to satisfy really hungry diners.

Italian restaurant in Münster. The taste of the pasta and pizza show great quality and are proofs that real Italians hold the place. The servers were so open for a conversation and was easy to communicate with them. They were super friendly and understanding, especially when I asked if it’s possible to remove the pancette from my pasta, and they immediately asked what they should add instead. With the beef pieces, the aglio e olio pasta turned nice, but it was too salty to my taste. For desert, we had to try their homemade tiramisu; it was as good, but the biscotti weren’t entirely soaked in the cream (I think it just needed a few more hours in the fridge). Ich war im Milano im Westend essen – und was soll ich sagen: Das war wirklich ein absolutes Highlight! Schon beim Betreten merkt man sofort, dass es sich um einen echten italienischen Familienbetrieb handelt. Die Atmosphäre ist warm, herzlich und einladend, man fühlt sich sofort willkommen. Besonders schön ist die offene Küche – man kann den Köchen bei der Zubereitung der Speisen zuschauen, was für eine authentische und lebendige Stimmung sorgt.

Das Essen selbst war einfach überragend. Die Vorspeisen waren frisch und mit viel Liebe angerichtet – Antipasti in einer Vielfalt und Qualität, die man selten findet. Die Pasta war auf den Punkt gegart, hausgemacht und mit einer Sauce, die so intensiv und aromatisch war, dass man sofort merkt: Hier wird mit Leidenschaft gekocht. Auch die Pizzen sind ein echtes Highlight – dünner, knuspriger Boden, reichlich belegt, aber trotzdem nicht überladen. Genau so, wie man es aus Italien kennt.

Das Fleisch- und Fischangebot hat ebenfalls überzeugt. Besonders positiv: Die Zutaten wirken absolut frisch, nichts schmeckt „von der Stange“. Hier legt man offensichtlich Wert auf Qualität – und das schmeckt man bei jedem Bissen.

Der Service war top. Das Personal war unglaublich aufmerksam, freundlich und hatte trotzdem diese lockere, familiäre Art, die den Aufenthalt besonders angenehm macht. Man wird nicht einfach bedient, sondern wirklich umsorgt – als Gast fühlt man sich fast wie ein Teil der Familie.

Abgerundet wurde das Ganze durch einen wirklich guten Wein, der perfekt zum Essen passte. Auch die Nachspeisen sind nicht zu unterschätzen: Das Tiramisu war cremig, fluffig und so lecker, dass man es am liebsten zweimal bestellen würde.

Alles in allem: Das Milano im Westend ist ein Ort, an dem man nicht nur hervorragend essen kann, sondern ein Stück echtes Italien erlebt.
