A really lovely family run hotel, close to the centre of Münster. The hotel has a car park out the back, but if full, fear not, as there is free parking on the road and the area feels super safe! Inside the hotel, you’re greeted by the owner (I think?)Really nice guy. The chocolates on the front desk are good also - try get a small handful… The room we were given was on the second floor. There is no lift that I saw, but it’s not too many steps. The room itself is worth the walk anyway…it was SUPER clean, well furnished, precise and as you’d expect, everything worked perfectly, from the shower to the heating. Widescreen Samsung TV on the wall, a few chairs for relaxing and really comfortable beds (maybe the pillows are a touch soft though…) Breakfast in the morning was good. Selection of meats, cheeses, breads, yogurts, cereals etc, and then the option of eggs/bacon cooked fresh. Coffee and orange juice to boot! All in all, a great hotel, and would 100% stay again. Five stars would be given if there was a toaster…. (How can a hotel have no toaster for toast in the morning?! Ha ha) Thanks for the restaurants also. We went to #7 but wish we’d have gone to #13 as we think there might have been a little more choice. Really great beer at Pinkus! Thanks again. J

Hotel Jellentrup is a cute little gem of a hotel, located within walking distance from the old city center of Münster. Had a very pleasant stay! The room was immaculate, and the items looks new and / or very well maintained. Bed is of good quality and is comfortable. The room comes supplied with all kinds of commodities, including a complementary bottle of water, tea, coffee, even cookies :) Good wifi included, free of charge. A very tasty breakfast was included as well, complete with fresh coffee and tea, juice, etc. Staff is very kind and polite. English speaking, no problem! Everyone says hello and smiles all around. Really makes you feel welcome. Parking is included for guests of the hotel - free of charge. Had a very pleasant stay in Hotel Jellentrup, and recommend it as a great place to explore Münster from.

A comfortable tourist type of hotel, with good sized rooms which were spotlessly clean. The breakfast room is small, but the range and quality of food on offer was excellent, and beats other more expensive hotels we've used. The hotel is family run, and the manager made us feel very welcome. Whilst there is no bar, there is an "honesty fridge" with chilled wine and beer, etc - take what you want, write the details down and pay later - a nice touch. Our room had a balcony, so it was very pleasant to sit and enjoy a glass of wine in the mini heatwave during our stay. |Free wifi is available, and we got a good signal. There's no air conditioning, but there is a ceiling fan which worked surprisingly well. It's about a 15 minute walk into the city centre, but plan your route and you get to walk past the Botanical Gardens and the grand Schloss. |The road outside leads to the city centre, and can get busy during rush hour, but generally, at night, the area is quiet enough to sleep. The car park is quite small, but street parking is available. There's a handy convenience store next door, should you need it, and whilst there's an Italian restaurant a few metres away, you'll need to head into town for a wider choice of...
