I was there for two hours so I ordered two separate times.
The first woman was very warm and friendly.
The other woman…wow I heard her yelling at some Arabic customers before I saw her. Maybe it was a coincidence they were Arabic.
After I heard her yelling at the customers, I went back to the counter to order my second coffee.
She rudely told me that my own coffee was to go. I said actually it’s for here and she heard me and just prepared it to go anyways.
I saw the other nice worker was looking at her shocked at how rude she was being.
Then there was a man standing next to me waiting for his coffee. The mean woman barked at him (in German) “hello! What did you order! Hello!”
He looked up shocked at her rudeness and said “I have already paid. I’m waiting on a cappuccino”.
Then she rudely answered back “here’s your cappuccino! That’s why I asked you what you needed!” And shoved the cappuccino at him.
Then when I paid, she didn’t even wait for the transaction to be approved before she left the register and moved behind me so swiftly that I thought she might bump into me…just to go clean up some plates left on a table.
I saw the nicer worker come back out with her jacket on and look very anxious towards the mean woman, like she knew she was a ticking bomb.
I don’t know who the mean woman was but she should not dealing with customers or in the front of the shop at all.
If she is the owner she should be ashamed of herself for being so rude to multiple customers.
The only thing I can think is that she had just received some terribly devastating news. But if that is the case, she should not have been working and should take time away.
I recommend she take some time off, voluntarily or involuntarily.
Beyond the service, the coffee and my cinnamon roll...
Read moreNice, brand new place. They come with high standards (macrone to every coffee, french sweets, ice cream..) I'm curious how long they'll hold up to it. Definitely nice service and a very good, properly small coffee - no bathtub of water as a lungo or cappuccino like it's served in one Cafe close nearby. I do not fancy the strength of the espresso (I'm pregnant and drink coffee very rarely, it's simply too strong of a kick for me - but it's an amazing combination with vanilla ice cream as an Affogato, yummm), but my husband speaks about Amal very highly now. He even said it's a better taste than what I'm getting from Prague (CoFa.cz - "Automatic blend", quality mix of Honduras and something, more bitter, fresh, we grind it at home..), so that's extremely high rating of Amal, coming from a coffee addict working for years with Italians. 😄 And also our toddler loves their pretzels, which can be packed "to go" just as the coffee is. We sat outside so far, even so close to the crossroad it's a nice place. Great parking on the streets. So good luck, Amal, I hope you keep...
Read moreHonestly I don't understand the good reviews. The hot chocolate was not even stirred, there were chunks of powder in the bottom. The pistachio croissant was unatable for me. The stuffing was sooo unnaturally green, obviously low quality coloring products. The smoothie had no taste. Honestly I was excited to try it as it is the only cafe near my house but such a disappointment. And the end VERY RUDE Staff. Thay close at 5 and kept coming to wipe our table and move things around (set menueq and salt and pepper to prepare them for next day ) While WE WERE STILL EATING and before closing time. The "owner" came only to us to ask us to leave in a rude way(while other people were sitting with no order on their table) , when we told her that we hardly enjoyed the stay since her colleague was hassling us she told us "not to come anymore then". Anyhow overall super bad experience. Do...
