Hans im Glück — Restaurant in Munich

I went yesterday for lunch alone and was excited to come back to this place as I remembered the burgers were decent.

When I arrived the waiter said hello and said I can sit down anywhere. I chose a table and then asked for English menu. After I was ready to order I asked the waiter politely if I can make the order and I can see from them arguing who would go take the order as both wanted to stay and chat to their friends or colleagues. When finally someone took the order tablet he had this look at his face that he really didn't want to come take the order. While taking the order he didn't even know their menu very well and I showed him the offer they had which he didn't know about on their menu. Plus I was feeling so uncomfortable like I wasn't welcomed there.

My order finally arrives and I ate it quick and wanted to leave. The only friendly smiley person is the one who served the plate to me and he asked me half way through the meal if I'm enjoying. That's the only reason I'm giving an extra star otherwise this place deserve 1 star only.

They should teach their staff manners and if they are not in the mood to wait on tables they shouldn't do it in front of the customer. My mood was ruined for sometime after lunch but what I know for sure I won't come back to this place or recommend...

Yesterday, we went to eat here with our family. Normally, we really like the staff, so much so that we are regular customers and many times we come to eat or drink. Yesterday a new waitress served us, but she was not very nice right away. During the order, the waitress forgot to bring / subscribe a large portion of sweet potatoes, forgetfulness that can obviously happen, in any case after having asked for a second time they were served to us. After asking for the bill, shown only by the portable ATM, we paid and later we also asked for the receipt that had not been given to us; reading it we realized that she had not subscribed the sweet potatoes, but in their place she had inserted a tip of 10 euro on a 74 euro check, which we would not have discovered if we had not requested the receipt. By going to ask the waitress for explanations, we were treated in an unprofessional manner, altering in front of all the customers saying it is Hans im Glück's policy. As we got ready to leave the restaurant she came back to us screaming not to understand the gastronomy sector, making the situation worse. As a foreigner, the fat male mid eastern waitor insisted on asking me to tip the cooker lots of times,even i said I just took away. there was no service at all and he said this is normal to tip the cooker in Munich. Seriously? in a chain burger shop? Until i saw other locals take away and paid what they should, i realized this fat mid eastern waitor was hopeless. When food was out, he told me go to bar to take your drink away like an order. He looked like he cared nothing, I suggest he should, he really does coz he gets no future, just like what is on his face and the way he is doing his job.
