Griechische Taverne Zur Gartenlaube — Restaurant in Munich

Wonderful food as always, greek food rocks… very bad service, mood and energy of staff hence bad review.

Answer the reply(dont know how to reply ) As I am asked by owner what went not right with service. I do not feel comfortable to mention precisely what went wrong, but i would add few general things: 1.service must be always welcoming the guests(customers). They should not be treating one guest differently than others. Customers shall not bring baby chair by themselves from a long distance, or at-least be considerate smile and show the way where to find what? I read comments here, many customers mentioned same , service isn't good, and I am not complaining about they took 30 mins or more to bring food ( which actually happened) , as its trivial for me.

Remember : service is most important part, probably not in Germany( may be i am wrong). Service providers take orders and bring food and drinks, they carry energy and if it is negative then food even which is super tasty and healthy will become toxic and non tasty.. all service has to do is treat all equal, smile, coordinate, don't leave customers alone, look at them, guide them when they are with...

Great garden. And that’s where all the greatness ends. The only way to rate the food with anything above one star (which mainly goes to the very nice and helpful staff) is if you have NEVER tasted proper Greek good in your entire life. Unfortunately everything we had had no taste, felt like plastic and disappointed us beyond expectation. Needles to say that I may not be the right person to judge. This is a restaurant targeting the german audience. I’ll go back to my no-greek-restaurants rule and keep enjoying the rest of the plenty gastronomical options in Munich.

To address the owner’s comments: I already stated that it’s possible that I’m not the best judge bc I’m used to Greek food in Greece and not in Munich. I assume that you need to know your guests and you probably are doing an awesome job for the german audience and their taste buds - also, awesome...

Absolutely DELICIOUS!!!! I'm not even the world's biggest fan of Greek food and literally every single dish here tasted as good as the Michelin star restaurants we just ate at in Paris!! The owner is the head chef and he makes literally everything from scratch!!
