Excellent dinner at Land in Sonne!

As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by a very friendly Croatian man, Miško, wearing a Texas cowboy hat. He let us know to pick any table outside, and took our drink order. We felt very welcomed and happy to be there.

The outside is a laid-back backyard space with lots of shade, quirky lawn ornaments, and an international music playlist at a comfortable volume. When Miško came with our beers, we had a pleasant conversation about where we all were from, and, from there, he gave us recommendations for our meals: BBQ ribs with potatoes and cheese-stuffed squid salad. We’ve never been led wrong by a Croatian meal recommendation, so we went with it.

Miško knows his stuff! We both loved our meals. The ribs were tender, juicy, and fall-off-the-bone, but with enough bite remaining to not be mushy, with a BBQ sauce that was perfectly balanced between sweet and tangy, and the fries were crispy and had a seasoning blend on them that made them stand-alone in their own right. My husbands salad was also very good, with the squid being yummy, the salad filling, and the bread with it being perfectly toasted; he was full and happy.

We were so blown away by how delicious the food was, we HAD to get dessert. We got apple fritters with ice cream, it was perfect. It was apple slices dipped in a funnel batter, deep fried, and then tossed in a cinnamon and sugar blend, served with just the right amount of vanilla ice cream. Like the rest of our meal, it was perfectly done and was a delicious end to a fantastic dinner.

We only went there because it was near our hotel, but we will now make a point of going back anytime we are in Munich! Absolutely delicious food, excellent service, and a pleasant atmosphere. HIGHLY recommend to anyone looking for a place to relax with fresh beer, delicious food, and exceptionally friendly service.

Ein rundum gelungener Besuch! Der Inhaber ist unglaublich freundlich und geht auch sehr nett auf die Kinder ein. Ein herzliches Willkommen für die ganze Familie. Das Essen war einfach fantastisch! Wir hatten: Rindergulasch mit selbstgemachte Spätzle: ein absoluter Genuss, perfekt zartes Fleisch mit herrlicher Soße. Scampi-Salatteller: frisch, lecker und perfekt gewürzt. Cheeseburger mit Pommes: der Burger war saftig und die Pommes dazu schön knackig. Schnitzel mit Pommes: zwei sehr gut zubereitete, goldbraun gebratene Schnitzel. Die Preise waren für die Qualität des Essens mehr als fair und absolut angemessen. Besonders gefallen hat uns das Ambiente: schlicht und gemütlich, ohne viel Schnick-Schnack. Die Außenanlagen lädt bei schönem Wetter zum Verweilen ein und man kann wunderbar draußen sitzen. „Land in Sonne 1“ ist auf jeden Fall immer einen Besuch wert, besonders vor einem Spiel der Basketballer des FCBB IM BMW Park. Hier wird man bestens verköstigt und kann den Tag perfekt ausklingen lassen.
