Disgraceful, I simply wouldn't be served by the (middle aged) lady unless I speak German. Whilst I don't expect staff in their native country to oblige in a foreign language, she still wouldn't take my order after I took a picture of the meal poster (over the kasse) and pointed to it and gestured number 1 . I simply wanted to try their food by buying one of that meal in the picture. Instead she kep replying in long German sentences which bear no meaning to me unfortunately. I doubted it wasn't about the language barrier but rather another "no doisch no service" and ended up walking away...

Had a quick lunch break at the NordSee - didn't feel at all welcoming and food was mediocre. Would have preferred to attach a picture alongside my experience but service didn't seem at all happy to have business and were speaking loudly to one another the whole time. Ich bin über die Fischauswahl zutiefst besorgt. Die Präsenz von 'MSC-geprüften Schillerlocken' (HAIfleisch vom Dornhai) auf der Speisekarte überrascht mich, besonders in Anbetracht der aktuellen Bedrohung vieler Hai- und Rochenarten. Als Taucher macht mich dies traurig, insbesondere da über 37 % dieser Arten auf der roten Liste vom Aussterben bedroht sind.
Die Auswahl erinnert an vergangene Zeiten und wirkt mittelalterlich. In einer Zeit, in der wir uns bewusst sind, dass Haifleisch oft mit Schwermetallen belastet ist und somit ungesund für den Verzehr ist, fehlt mir eine zeitgemäße und gesunde Alternative auf der Speisekarte. Ein regionaler Karpfen mit knackigem, saisonalen Bio-Gemüse, Samen und Nüssen wäre nicht nur reichhaltiger an gesundem OMEGA-3, sondern auch umweltfreundlicher.
Ich hoffe darauf, dass das Oly Nordsee seine Speisekarte überdenkt und auf nachhaltigere Alternativen setzt. Wenn der Hai von der Speisekarte verschwindet und die Auswahl zeitgemäßer wird, würde ich gerne wieder vorbeikommen. Das Personal ist freundlich und...
