Was there for the 3rd time. Last 2 were fine. Probably because those were not during peak time. This time, i brought a friend. The blonde long haired lady in the front desk was either rude or racist. After we waited in the line, she left the counter to talk to her colleagues in front of us. We could hear and we understood that she just ignored us and preferred to chat with her colleague. The colleague picked up the situation quickly tho and came to the counter for us.
When it was our turn, my friend was registered- all went well the other colleagues were very helpful and friendly.
However, i was informed that there were no more card available. One thing I thought that‘s great that they have such system that ensures the max number of people inside the gym. Another thing that annoyed me a bit, they could have informed the people.. because everyone in the line has already scanned the QR code on their wellpass or usc app. Not long after that, luckily some people left so there were some cards available again. Not sure how long others after us had to wait tho. A system with a screen or smth that shows how many spaces (card) left for guests will be nice.
So far I always came for swimming and wellness. Again the last 2 times were not in the peak time. Today at the evening was full, which was understandable since there was 2 Aufgüsse planned.
Anyway… overall nice wellness and swimming area. However, I‘d only come here during the day or just hit the salt sauna instead of joining the Aufguss. The Aufguss was very nice tho! However, I didn’t get the relaxing feeling. It was too much going on in the sauna during Aufguss. Too noisy, too much interaction.
Overall I‘d recommend to try the Aufguss if you don’t mind that people will try to talk to you all the time. But keep in mind that it always during peak hours. And hopefully, you‘re treated nicely and respectfully from...
Read moreWe became a member to this facility just before corona lock down started. During the registration, we asked about cancellation terms as you never know what happens next. The registration person informed us that if we can prove that we move 20km away from Munich, we can cancel the contract without any penalty.
In April, I got an offer from Dubai and I accepted and signed to contract. An we decided to cancel the contract as it was meaningless for us to pay for a sports club service which we cannot use until further notice, maybe until we leave the country. However, although they said that as long as we can prove that we will change countries, it will be fine; the reality was different as they asked us to provide a residency from ‘dubai’ !!!! They did not accept the official work contract from dubai although it is english and legal. This is another way of saying that we cannot cancel. So simply they lied to us!
In the mean time, body and soul charged us for the months that they are closed due to covid and they did not freeze our membership for more then 1 month even though we asked for it.
We know that sports club charge now and they add at the end of your membership, but in our case this is useless as we will not be able to use it. So they have to compensate my loss in cash refund, otherwise they will be compensating other members and me not!
I already wrote to European Consumer Centre and I will fight for my rights of course.
But people should be aware if this before signing up body and...
Read moreI joined about a year ago in recommendation from my physical therapist to do training to help with back problems from a computer job and climbing. That worked well enough and I let them sell me a year contract because I wanted to get into yoga. I regret that now.
I used to work near main station and could make it to 7pm yoga classes. But you have to show up at 6:30pm if you want to actually get a spot because the rooms are too small. The worst room is the one repurposed for classes where you have to walk through the pool area, sometimes interrupting their courses to get to yours - with wet feet.
Starting in January of this year I transferred offices to headquarters in Unterföhring and I initially tried to get there on time for classes. But the commute and traffic is too far (45-60 minutes) and I work longer than shorter hours, which was also why I couldn't get up Saturday morning for the beginners course at then 9:30am.
I thought fine, I will let the contract run out. Now they are holding me additionally to 3 months notice even though I haven't been to the gym this year at all. So they want an extra 250 EUR for nothing, on top of the 525 EUR I already paid (with employer discount). That's just greed!
The center as a gym is good, but expensive. I do not recommend it for working people trying to do courses. If I was going to pay I wish I had done a pay per lesson at a proper yoga studio instead.
Instead I do YouTube yoga and guided meditation via the Headspace app - save yourself a...
