We followed the sign saying “wait to be seated” and stood near the cashier, assuming we were doing the right thing. Turns out, we were just blocking the payment queue while waiting for someone—anyone—to acknowledge us. Three staff members were working, but it still took around 10 minutes before someone told us we could sit anywhere.
Eventually, a menu showed up and I ordered a shakshuka and a latte. The first red flag? Being asked if I wanted an egg with my shakshuka. That’s like being asked if I want water in my tea.
Naturally, the coffee arrived first—because the barista, chef, and waitstaff seem to operate in entirely separate dimensions. No coordination, no timing. So while I waited for my food, my latte cooled to the temperature of a forgotten corpse.
The dish finally arrived. I hesitate to call it shakshuka. It was a sad mix of bell peppers and tomato sauce, a bit of chili, a sprinkle of feta on the side, a thick, chewy bread crust, and a boiled egg tossed in as an afterthought.
Desperate to make the best of it, I asked for some extra bread. Took 5–10 minutes just to get someone’s attention and another 10 minutes to be offered the bread—for an extra charge. By that time, it was pointless, so I declined.
If you’re just after a coffee and don’t mind a bit of chaos, maybe it’s tolerable. But if you’re thinking of ordering food? Save yourself the...
Read moreVery nice Modern Bohemian style cafe with a bit of an Australian vibe! They offer tremendous amounts of coffee specialities with so many nondairy options!! You will be surprised at the creativeness of the menu!! Even Chaga and mushroom tonic can be added to your coffee!! I was super impressed I felt I have to study the coffee menu! My flat white was a bit acidic, but I guess all coffee speciality shops have different sorts of coffee beans!! You have to make it clear to the Barista what exact flavor you are looking for. You also have a choice of two coffee bean blends at the reception. As for the breakfast all day menu, it is true that it is limited, but I have to say each dish was made to perfection as stated on the menu!! Even a simple Avocado Halloumi toast was absolutely made with Love!! You can tell that the person who created the dish did his very best and put a lot of love and precision to his creation! The staff is friendly and relaxed! Regarding the location of the cafe, it wasn’t very convenient for me, but if you live in the neighborhood it’s definitely...
Read moreThe interior of the café is really cute and minimalistic, coffee is excellent but I think there is room for improvement in terms of baked goods and service. Today I stopped by to get take away Cappuccino and Franzbrötchen. After ordering I was told by waiter to wait outside and they would bring the coffee and Franzbrötchen. I was like sure, it's take away what the worst could happen? The customers before me were also waiting outside. We waited around 10-15mins outside in very cold temperatures for our orders.
My Franzbrötchen came around 10min time mark and my coffee around 15min time mark. Don't get me wrong, I also worked in various cafe's before and this shouldn't be the way. Takeaways should be in priority and shouldn't let the customers wait outside for 15mins in cold.
I paid 4€ for cappuccino and 4.4€ for little bit burned Franzbrötchen which I wasn't satisfied and compared to other places the taste of it was...
