My husband visited the restaurant in the afternoon, hoping for a pleasant dining experience. He sat on the chair and waited for about 10 minutes, but unfortunately, no server approached to take his order. Shortly after, a group of six arrived and a server went to them immediately to take their order, which made him feel overlooked. He then went to the counter to place the order himself, but the staff member was busy on the phone, no one even looked at him. Feeling disappointed by the lack of attention and the overall behavior of the staff (for this reason I am giving 1 rating), he eventually decided to leave without eating. We hope this was just an off day and that service will be more attentive in the future, as we’ve heard good things about the food.
Update: Recently, I visited RANA Restaurant and had a very pleasant experience. The staff were friendly, attentive, and made sure all customers were well taken care of. It was great to see such warm and professional service. While my husband had a different experience during his visit, I believe it may have just been an off day. We're happy to see the high standard of service and look forward to...
Read moreI recently visited Rana with my friends, a newly opened Indian restaurant, and was genuinely impressed by both the authenticity of the food and the overall dining experience. From the moment we walked in, the staff was warm and welcoming, and the ambience had a clean, cozy feel.
We ordered a mix of classics- Chicken 365, Butter Chicken, Lamb Rogan Josh, and Paneer Tikka Masala, paired with garlic naan and rice. Every dish was flavorful, balanced in spice, and tasted like true Indian home-style cooking, not overly creamy or oily like you sometimes find elsewhere.
The spice levels were just right, and we appreciated that the server asked our preference in advance. Portions were generous and well-presented. The highlight for me was the freshly Paneer and meat and the perfectly cooked basmati rice, simple things that make a big difference.
If you're craving real Indian food in Munich, Rana is definitely worth a visit. A great new place with authentic taste, fair prices, and friendly service. I’ll definitely be...

Food: Top tier. Rich yet balanced, home-kitchen warmth meets restaurant polish. Ambience: Small space, cozy vibe, clean design. Perfect for a relaxed dinner. Service: The owners are right there, chatting, serving, showing genuine care. Toilet: Very clean, everything works. Could be a bit bigger, but no complaints. Parking: Some nearby street parking, but not plenty. If you time it well it’s fine. Reachability: Easy to reach via public transport, only a short walk from the station/stop U7/U8.
Why I’ll go back: It’s not just the food - it's the vibe, the personal touch, the feeling that this place isn’t a chain but a passion project. If you want Indian food in Munich with a premium feel, this...
