Do not miss this restaurant when in Munich. It was an authentic, elegant (yet comfortable) dining experience. The menu had many appealing options, so we relied on our waiter’s recommendations which were spot on. For appetizers, we had the smoked blood sausages and the pickled salmon—wonderful! The somm recommended a regional wine that was great on its own and as a pairing with our food. For the main course we had the classic Wiener schnitzel with potatoes and Tyrolean cranberries. The atmosphere, food, wine, and service were exceptional.

Very good and delicious food, everything was just perfect. The duck was amazing, the schnitzel was perfect and buttery. The fried chicken Austrian style was very crispy and juicy. The drinks were also good as the elderberry juice was good as well as the beer. The service was very good, the waiter was very competent, fast and also quite funny. The atmosphere was very fitting as it was kind of like an old restaurant, which it obviously is. In total a perfect experience. If you're in Munich go there it's a perfect Austrian Bavarian restaurant.

I ordered the fried chicken, with a starter of mixed greens. The portions were very hearty, flavors were traditional as you may expect, but excellent. The chicken was juicy, salad and dressing were flavorful, and the potato salad made me understand finally what all the fuss is about; and I can confirm Germans make it very well! Service was attentive, detail oriented, unhurried and friendly. Looking for a nice dining experience with traditional German food? You can't go wrong with Freisinger Hof.

Very disappointing! We had a dinner scheduled in another restaurant and changed to Freisinger Hof only because of the good reviews we read. We celebrated a birthday and had a reservation for 21:00 which was scheduled by phone. From then on the whole evening was with so many flaws a: When we arrived we were told the kitchen is closed at 21:30 so we were told we can have either main course or starter but there is not enough time for both. Upon reservation nothing was said about it. After a lot of persuasion they agreed we could order some starters but not for everybody. b: Then we were told that out of 6 main courses 2 were missing - that means third of the menu is not available. c: Main dishes arrived 7 minutes after starters while eating them - so unprofessional!! d: Two of us ordered Sirloin with mushrooms (the sauce was tasty). Not only the waiter didn't ask the level of doneness which is strange for the quality they claim ,when we asked for medium rare the meat arrived medium well to well done and was dry. We called the waiter and he agreed it was much over done and said he will tell the kitchen, but never came back (the kitchen was probably already closed). Of course they did charge these dishes and even didn't suggest any kind of compensation. So many flaws in one dinner that was supposed to be a lovely and delicious birthday. The reason for 2 stars and not one is the wine list that was good and some of the other dishes were good but overall experience...

The opening hours are misleading. The kitchen is not open all the time. Wasted an hour because of this miscommunication.

Edit after impolite reply:

My (previous) user name originated from a name used to bully me at school. What an irony that it is used to be bullied online by this location. The definition of a restaurant is: "A restaurant is a business that prepares and serves food and drinks to customers." Thus, the opening hours do not correspond to a restaurant. If no food is served, by definition, the place is not a restaurant. If a place is not offering the services it advertises, a 1 star review is actually too high. I expect fine dining to not just come with good food but also with hospitality. Instead of a warm welcome, we only got a "What do you want?" Instead of adjusting opening hours on google to fit the definition of a restaurant, we get victim blaming. We could see that other people at the place must have gotten better treatment since they were sitting inside. Thus, there is indication of unconscious bias...
