Spent the new year eve at this place. Calm atmosphere not so far from Ostbahnhof. The staff was so friendly most of them understands english. Unfortunately we didnt know that new year eve was only with special menu (like many other restaurants) and the regular ala carte menu was not there. We were disappointed and thought that lets look some other option though it was late, because the menu was quite long and we were not hungry to finish off that much food and we didnt wanted to waste the food. Just as we were thinking of options this lady appeared (i guess owner of the space) and said we can choose anything from the new year menu and can have whatever we feels like having. I feel customer being valued is a very good gesture and I really appreciate. The duck and lamb dishes along with the cold starters we had was super good with ample quantity enough to fill your stomach. I had lunch here today and chose the €17.90 menu with three courses. I was served the soup, then the vegetable dish. I was waiting for the dessert, but when I asked, I was told that it was not included and that the menu only had two courses – probably taking advantage of the fact that I don’t speak German. They probably said that because they had run out of desserts. But if they had told me the truth, I would have understood. Why lie to me, taking advantage of the fact that I don’t speak German? In the end, I paid in cash, and I was given change as if I had paid €19. I thought the extra €1.10 might have been for water or service. But later, when I looked at the receipt (which I had to ask for), I saw that it was actually for €17.90.

Wir waren letzten Dienstag zum Mittagessen hier. Die Speisekarten kamen prombt. Zur Bestellaufnahme der Getränke und des Essens ließ man sich allerdings sehr lange Zeit. Die zwei Damen im Service unterhielten sich ausgiebig mit anderen Gästen und nahmen keine Notiz von uns. Sehr unaufmerksamer Service. Irgendwann konnten wir dann doch unsere Bestellung aufgeben und so bestellten wir das Mittagsgyros. Die Portion war sehr überschaubar, sowohl vom Fleisch als auch vom Salat und ist für 10.90 Euro nicht wirklich ein Mittagsangebot weswegen man hier öfters kommen müsste. Das Gyros war geschmacklick kein Highlight da es viel zu fett war und im Fett auf dem Teller lag. Ebenso der Salat. Einfach und doch geschmacklos. Gut, ist sicher Geschmackssache, was allerdings überhaupt nicht geht ist der lange Knochensplitter den ich in meinem Gyros gefunden habe, siehe Bild und auf den ich gebissen habe. Was haben Knochen im Gyros verloren??????????? Noch dazu so ein langes Stück, nicht ganz ungefährlich. Manche Gäste wurden nach dem Essen also beim bezahlen gefragt ob sie einen Ouzo möchten, wir leider nicht. Man sollte dies schon einheitlich machen, man kommt sich sonst schnell als Gast 2.Klasse vor. Das mit dem Ouzo ist uns schon bei uns unserem ersten Besuch aufgefallen. Zum bezahlen mussten wir dann wieder ewig warten obwohl inzwischen fast niemand mehr im Garten war.

Anmerkung: Bei Ihnen war ich wie sie an der Rechnung erkennen können. Habe das Knochenstück mitgenommen und bei mir fotografiert.

Sie können sicher sein, dass ich besseres zu tun habe, als mit einem Stück Knochen von Restaurant zu Restaurant zu fahren um schlechte Bewertungen abzugeben von denen ich letztendlich nichts habe.
