The two stars are for the food, which are good. Would definitely recommend the duck. For some reason though, the server is impolite to say the very least. It might be that we speak English only, because apparently he was very friendly to the table behind us who are local. In general he tends to ignore us when we have requests, or reply with a “huh” and make a gesture without looking at us, which appeared as arrogance and made us feel rather uncomfortable. We tried to modify our order a bit (not something huge; we just want to switch the water from sparkling to still less than 2 minutes after we submitted it. I understand if it’s not possible to change it, it’s the attitude that bothers me.) and he shook his head and went all like “but I already submitted it” and gave us a face. (He did help us switch later, so we’ll at least give him that credit.)When he served us food the plate he was holding knocked on our glass on the table, and he would not even bother to say sorry; instead he made it seem like it’s something we did wrong. When a person from our group went to the bathroom, there was a narrow tunnel and the server’s back inevitably made contact with my friend’s. My friend apologized, yet the server once more gave my friend a disdainful and scornful look. For the price of this particular restaurant I was expecting a more attentive service that at least treat us with basic manners. Very disappointed and would definitely...
Read moreHorrific service. At around 16:00, with the place half empty, my wife and I were asked at the entrance by one of the waiters if we had a reservation. We said no, we have a baby with us we’re just here for a quick drink. He said ok and showed us the table. As we stepped aside for a second to scan the Luca app, another waiter came to the entrance and as I started walking in he stopped me and said “where are you going?”. I pointed at the table - one of the many that were completely empty - and he said these are reserved for later tonight you can’t go. After I said “but your colleague just told us to go and it’s fine”. He said “my colleague has no clue, you can’t go”. It was quite obvious of course that there was sufficient place and the tables wouldn’t fill up in the next 20 mins it would take to drink a beer , and it would have been more professional to let us in after what his colleague has said to us so (rather than say that he has no clue), and it would have been just simply nice to not talk to us in this way, and not in this tone. Perhaps they didn’t want someone with a small baby. Either way, You can be sure you’ll never...
Read morePros:
-good food 7/10 -nice and cozy atmosphere inside -beautiful beer garden just outside -perfect location for a meal before or after the sightseeing of the Nymphenburg.
Cons:
-super slow service, it took them precisely 10 minutes to seat us and the restaurant wasn't even busy. They took our drinks order (just 1 bottle of water and 1 green tea) and brought it after another 10 minutes let's say. After half hour they took our order and after another half hour we had our meal. We had to insist everytime to get their attention and to remind them we were waiting.
Service 3/10
-internet not available, we asked and they said it's only for staff -a bit expensive, we took the small version of everything expecting to have a cheaper price, instead the portions were halved in size but price just 3 euros cheaper (original Shnitzel was 20€, small version is 16,50)
!!!water!!! We bought 2 bottles of water (0,75L each) and we were charged 12 euros for it. Jesus Christ what a rip off!
I give it 3 stars only for it's location, for it's beer garden and cozy interior. Wouldn't recommend it for...
