Souxe Meze — Restaurant in Munich

When we arrived there was a DJ set. We were sat right next to the speaker and it was impossible to talk over our drinks. We noticed the owner kept raising the volume, making it extremely uncomfortable and genuinely an odd choice for a dinner setup.

We were about to leave without ordering anything, as the owner acted rude towards my friend when she asked him about being moved to another table. We’ve asked multiple times not because we were picky but because he kept raising the volume and sitting next to speakers was just horrible.

I have to praise Natalie - not only did she take care of us and found us another spot to sit, she was extremely friendly, understanding and professional. She was the only reason we decided to stay after the boss rude behavior.

We had amazing food, the service was great and extremely fast and Natalie managed to change the mood, make us happy and enjoy our evening. Quite honestly one of the best services I’ve had in Munich!

We ordered a variety of small plates to share, and most were delicious. The grilled octopus was a standout - tender, perfectly cooked, and flavorful. The warm pita bread had just the right touch of salt, while the zucchini fritters were beautifully done with a crispy crust, a soft center, and a tangy yogurt sauce that paired wonderfully. The only slight disappointment was the grilled cauliflower with garlic and almond sauce as it lacked seasoning and was too oily.

The service was fast, efficient, and friendly. However, the pricing is on the steep side. At €17+ for a relatively small portion of seafood, fish, or meat without any sides, the cost adds up quickly.

Overall, Souxe Meze delivers delicious, skillfully prepared food and a cool, trendy vibe. Great for sharing plates with friends, but be prepared for a significant bill if you want to leave...

That was a very bad experience. The so called ’manager’ saved us one of the worst welcomes, he literally told us : « this is a high level restaurant, we don’t bring water bottles, you should drink it right now, on the spot, this is a high level restaurant ». We were just having an afternoon shopping and completely forgot I had a bottle of water in my hand on a hot summer day, and I didn’t think twice before sitting down. By no mean I expected to be lectured on how to behave, as if we were children, and he kept talking about what a high level restaurant it was, and how he wouldn’t do that. Although we were very quite and didn’t even reply, we just put it away. The food was nothing special, uncooked (not al dente) rice in the stuffed paprika for example. Not very flavorful.
