Restaurant Riesling — Restaurant in Nördlingen

Would not have attempted to come here if it was not one of our host’s suggested restaurants. It was more than a week ago, on a fairly quiet evening, many restaurants were only at 20-30% capacity at this time. We walked in Riesling and saw that the indoor seating was less than half full, with only two tables being reserved. The outdoor seating had only one occupied table and was otherwise completely empty. The server who approached us turned to another woman who we assumed was the manager for affirmation and the woman just widened her eyes and shook her head in a “do not seat them” manner. So the server, though apologetic, came up with a flimsy excuse about how they couldn’t accommodate a table of 3. Really? With all the empty tables and a town that barely had any tourists that evening? Maybe the owner who is replying to the reviews could come up with a better explanation? I sure hope that the excuse wouldn’t be “the tables are reserved”. We are no strangers to being turned away at restaurants in Europe and it was obvious in those times that the area was bustling and the restaurant was completely reserved. However, even after our dinner at another friendly and busier restaurant, this small town and the other restaurants in it were still fairly empty. Es la segunda vez que voy a este restaurante. La primera vez que fui, durante la pandemia, la camarera que nos atendió fue ruda, rozando la impertinencia, pero lo entendimos, porque eran momentos difíciles para todos y empatizamos con ella. Cenamos bien, pagamos y nos fuimos sin más. Esta segunda vez, nos ha vuelto a pasar algo parecido. Eramos 8 personas y a la hora de pedir la bebidas, la camarera se confundió con las cervezas, habíamos pedido dos Helles, 2 de trigo y una de trigo sin alcohol. Llego a la mesa con una de las Helles sin alcohol y le dijimos que no, que las Helles eran con alcohol y de las de trigo, una era sin alcohol. Trajo las 3 cervezas de trigo sin alcohol, y al comentárselo manifestó que no, que dos eran con alcohol. Después de probar las 3, no había ninguna diferencia. Le comentamos a la camarera que se había equivocado y decía que era imposible, que ella misma las había preparado. Dejamos de beber las de sin alcohol porque el sabor era malo, de cerveza sin alcohol. Molestos por el trato de nuestra camarera hablamos con otra camarera para decirle que nos habían traído dos cervezas sin alcohol que no habíamos pedido y la camarera dijo que lo sentía, pero su compañera no se había equivocado. Seguimos insistiendo que, por favor, mirara que había pasado pero que se había equivocado. Al final trajo otra cerveza de trigo con alcohol y obviamente era totalmente diferente, pero la camarera siguió diciendo que ella no se había equivocado. No creo que un restaurante de esta categoría deba de permitir un trato así a unos clientes. La camarera se equivocó en las cervezas, que no nos bebimos, y que nos cobraron. No volveré a ir a este restaurante. La comida es buena, pero que dos veces te sientas "maltratado" por el servicio, no me volverá a pasar, al menos no aquí. Bei unserem zweiten Besuch mit einer Gruppe von acht Personen kam es erneut zu Problemen im Service. Bei der Bestellung der Getränke wurden Biere falsch zugeordnet: Statt zwei Helles mit Alkohol, zwei Weißbieren (davon eines alkoholfrei), wurden unter anderem drei alkoholfreie Weißbiere serviert. Trotz unseres Hinweises darauf, dass dies nicht unserer Bestellung entsprach, wurde uns mehrfach versichert, dass kein Fehler vorliege. Nach wiederholter Rückfrage wurde schließlich ein weiteres Weißbier mit Alkohol gebracht – dieses unterschied sich geschmacklich eindeutig von den anderen und bestätigte unseren Verdacht. Dennoch wurde seitens des Servicepersonals weiterhin jeglicher Fehler abgestritten.

Die falsch gelieferten alkoholfreien Biere wurden berechnet, obwohl sie kaum getrunken wurden. Ein solcher Umgang mit Gästen entspricht meiner Meinung nach nicht dem Anspruch eines Hauses dieser Kategorie.

Das Essen war qualitativ in Ordnung. Allerdings empfand ich die Zutatenkombination beim Käsespätzle insbesondere die Zugabe von Brokkoli, Blumenkohl und fast rohen Möhrenstücken als ungewöhnlich und wenig stimmig.

Insgesamt kann ich aufgrund der wiederholt enttäuschenden Serviceerfahrung leider keine Empfehlung...
