I recently had the unfortunate opportunity to visit Paulusbogen, and I must say, it was a complete disaster. Our simple request to sit at a table outside seemed to be an unbearable burden for the staff. The person attending to us, who seemed to be in charge, displayed a shocking level of rudeness and lack of hospitality.

We were informed in a condescending tone that they had wanted to close the terrace two hours ago but were still receiving customers. While I understand that the staff may have been tired and overwhelmed, their behavior was completely unacceptable. Rather than politely explaining the situation or offering a sincere apology, they made us feel unwelcome and treated us as if we were an annoyance.

This encounter completely soured our mood and ruined what should have been an enjoyable outing. It is essential to remember that a dining experience is not solely about the food and drinks; the quality of service and how customers are treated play a crucial role as well. Even in challenging circumstances, a small gesture like a smile or a friendly word can make a significant difference. Unfortunately, this aspect was sorely lacking at Paulusbogen.

I have no intention of returning to this establishment, and I cannot, in good conscience, recommend it to anyone. Unless you have a desire to be treated poorly and have your mood ruined, I would strongly advise seeking out other options in the area. There are plenty of establishments that prioritize excellent service and treat their customers with respect. Save yourself the disappointment and frustration by avoiding Paulusbogen at all costs.
