Wish I could give -10 for the service! We visited this place on Halloween night for dinner based on a local friend' recommendation. It was crowded and service was worse. The beer had a fly floating in it and thankfully we noticed it before drinking. Showed this waitress and waited forever to get a replacement. We were three, though the order was noted properly, it was forgotten and messed up. One of the drinks was initially forgotten, we had to ask and wait again. While Kräuter Tee was ordered, they served green tea. Informed this and waited again. One of us received the food promptly, the other 2 waited for 30 minutes for food and the waiters. Finally we caught hold of one passed by us and informed that we haven't received the food yet. She went and came with a embarrassed face. Apparently it was forgotten; she apologized and asked if we are ok to accept a free Espresso for this mistake. We said we will decide later, after the food - didn't know how long it will take for Espresso to arrive and we dint want to spend the entire night waiting at this place! The waitress informed the owner and the lady with him, they never bothered to come and talk to us or anything. Even more colder behaviour! When the food finally came, it was clear that they just managed to serve it with whatever was available by then. Another 15-20mins of waiting to pay the bill! Ich war vor 21 Jahren für 2 Jahre Gast . Ich wurde noch nie zuvor und nie danach so bedient, wie im KOWALSKI. Deshalb weis ich noch heute was meine Gerichte waren . Erster Gang ein Bier mit einem Schnitzel, das so groß war, daß ich die nette Bedienung gefragt habe, ob die Pommes extra seviert werden. Sie schmunzelte und sagte, die sind unter dem Schnitzel. Ich musste mich überzeugen und hob das riesen Schnitzel an und tatsächlich, da waren sie, goldbraun und knusprig. Zweiter Gang überbackener Camembert mit Beeren und Salat. Das erste Mal in meinem Leben und ich war zu der Zeit 22. Dritter Gang Tiramisu, bei dem ich beim Einatmen das Kakaopulver in meine Nase zog, das war peinlich .Mit meinem Spezi aus München bestellte ich daraufhin zwei Ramazotti, den ich auch das erste mal probierte und danach einen Espresso. Die Bedienung war so professionell , daß sie immer Augenkontakt hielt, obwohl das Lokal sehr gut besucht war und den Aschenbecher mit einem Deckel transportierte, damit die Asche nicht herumwirbelt . Allein die Ankuft war legendär. Wir gingen die Treppe hoch und wurden begrüßt, als wenn wir jemand Besonderes wären, dabei waren wir nur Glaserlehrlinge und wurden zu unserem Tisch geführt. Die Karte wurde uns überreicht und die Musik war genau passend. Die Rechnung belief sich auf 35 Mark. Ich gab der Bedienung 50 Mark und sagte der Rest ist für sie . Sie bedankte sich mit einem Lächeln und glänzenden Augen, welches ich so noch nicht gesehen habe.Wir gingen mit vollem Magen ins Kino. Aufgeführt wurde damals " DUMM und DÜMMER". Waited ten minutes to order drinks, then another twenty to get the drinks which were warm by that point. Got another round for some reason and had the same issue. Then had to wait twenty minutes to pay after asking for the check.
