If you're looking for an authentic Italian experience in the heart of Passau, L'Osteria is a must-visit! As soon as you step inside, you'll be greeted by a warm and vibrant atmosphere, filled with the aroma of freshly baked pizza and the relaxed buzz of satisfied customers. What truly sets L'Osteria apart are their gigantic pizzas, so large they barely fit on the table! But it's not just about the size – the crusts are perfectly thin and crispy, with slightly charred edges that speak of a true wood-fired oven. Whether you opt for a classic Margherita or one of their more creative combinations, every bite is an explosion of flavor, thanks to the fresh and high-quality ingredients. Besides the pizza, I highly recommend trying their pasta, which is also prepared with great care and authentic recipes. The portions are generous, and the flavors are rich and layered. The staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful, always ready to recommend a dish or a wine, and to ensure you feel welcome. Even when it's busy, the service is quick and efficient. L'Osteria in Passau is the ideal spot for a relaxed dinner with friends or family. Besides fantastic food, you'll get a true taste of Italy, far from the usual tourist traps. In short – you'll...

I never rate restaurants, but this was too much to bare.
First of all, the staff was very nice and helpful.
The food is below average. I mean seriously who the hell gives this place a 4-5 star rating. I ordered a pasta with Rucola/rocket-leaves, Pasta with tomato sauce and bruschetta.
I had 5 Rucola/rocket-leaves in my pasta. Take a look at the picture. The pasta had no seasoning, no salt no paper in it. I had to go downstairs to ask for some pepper and salt
The other pasta had already the parmesan on the top instead on the side. The cheese melted already on the way to our hotel room. Same no taste, no salt and pepper. Plain taste, absolutely painful.
The bread for the salat is plain supermarket bread from the freezer.
The bruschetta the same, defrosted bread and was burned. 5€ for it. Let that sink in.
Did I mention that I got just 3 small pieces of bread for two portions of pasta and a salad?
I'm speechless.
Before you consider to order a pizza. Let me tell you that they use semolina in the process of the dough. No real Italian will and has ever used semolina in his dough or pizza process. Only...
Read moreI ordered the most basic pasta arrabiatta and others had different pizzas and salad. Everything is was good other than my pasta. I got it first than the other however the pasta was totally bland, it felt like the chef just put the tomato sauce of the can into my bowl and mixed the cooked pasta in it. Tasted like nothing. Which was then replaced by a new pasta after 15-20 mins while others were eating. The second time it tasted like how it should and was good the sauce was cooked perfectly and so was the pasta. 3 star review only because I didn’t get the right service at first but later when I almost lost my appetite, the kitchen...
