Amazing food and beer, terrible service.
My Lüdder burger and my father's beer-marinated pork was absolutely amazing, but my mother's cutlet (I believe it was a cutlet) was as tough to chew as an Italian, hand made, leather shoe sole.
This wouldn't be problem, if the waiters had checked up on us, so they could cook her a new one, but they didn't.
So my mother only got to enjoy her side and salat, as my father and I gorged ourselves on our food.
When our waiter finally came to take our plates and get our bill, after we had waited for quite a while, he asked how the food had tasted. We praised the food and told him about the cutlet. It was quite clear that it wasn't good, as only two small cuts into the cutlet had been made.

She was very nice and golly.
So all our food would have been scrumptious, had a server just checked up on us, so the cutlet could have...

Jenny was also our server and although the restaurant was full, she and the other wait staff did an amazing job. I had a chicken burger which was excellent! Others in my group had a salad, kassler and wurst salad. All were good and large portions. The only complaint was that the beer offerings were quite minimal and the one we ordered was quite bitter. Make sure you make reservations, especially...
Read moreGreat brew house with traditional copper stills on show. Nicely set out dining areas. Excellent service and food. We went in two occasions. The wheat beer is really good. The pork knuckle was huge as was the tafelspitz. At lunchtime we had the vegetable pizza which was very different, no traditional pizza base, rosti potato base, topped with a ratatouille of vegetables. Very good. Husband had the solyanka soup which was a thick sour vegetable broth and delicious. Wished I had ordered it instead of the pizza it was so tasty....
