Our tour group had a lovely dinner at Breuer’s Rudesheimer Schloss in Rudesheim, Germany. We had dinner in their very quaint, southern German style, outdoor restaurant. It had a retractable roof that they opened and closed when it rained, which cleverly covered the entire area.

There was a great polka band to entertain us as well. The band sang and played fun German songs and surprisingly, western songs as well and were wonderful. Locals (including cute little kids) and tourists danced and had a great time. There were also drinking games that they played with shots of schnapps on a long pole that five people could drink at once. A bell ringing song was also played with folks from the restaurant.

It was our friend’s birthday and they were kind enough to bring him out a special drink for him and made it very special for him. The night was a very enjoyable and a unique German experience for us, in a lovely setting. The food was very good, as well as the German beer.

It was a very fun night indeed and my half German wife had the time of her life and enjoyed every...

I will take a moment to give my compliments to the restaurant staff of this amazing property! We were not hotel guests but we did enjoy dinner at the hotel’s restaurant! I would personally like to thank them for one of the most spectacular dining experiences we ever had! First of all the restaurant is absolutely BEAUTIFUL with a modern touch and traditional at the same time. It gives you the idea of a historic building that has been cleverly renovated. The food is excellent and quite delicious, meticulously presented but not pretentious and the wine list is intact! The musicians gave an amazing performance with some non-expected surprises that made us laugh hard and have a great time. Lastly the service team was warm and friendly and our waiter “George” (I hope I remember the name correctly) made us feel really special exceeding our expectations for great service that evening! For all these reasons and many more I would definitely recommend it to everyone I know and those I don’t and we will definitely go back in the...

My wife and I are from Australia and we stayed at the Hotel for 2 nights in 2013 , we were at the end of a RV trip and there is parking at the hotel. We stayed in the old part of the Castle, this hotel is outstanding as is the owners. George is the owner of the hotel and he is a very kind man. Last year 2014. We tried to book in again but there were no vacancies. We ended up booking into the hotel trube I think it was( big mistake) I didnt book parking and in Rudesheim on a Sunday in summer it is impossible. This is where George comes in, he remembered us from the previous year. He aloud me to park our camper on his property( I offered to pay him) he refused to accept. This was outstanding, the employees and the hotel are a reflection of this kind man and his family, but mlst important is that the hotel offers great food, great wine and is in an outstanding position. We plan to stay again. Thank you again from 2 very thankful Australians. Regards...

Had such a wonderful 3night stay to end our 4week holiday. The hotel is such a joy to stay at, generous size rooms and we had a newly refurbished bathroom which was so clean and had excellent water pressure. Enjoyed the complimentary bubbles on arrival on the cute balcony outside our room. Excellent breakfast and dinner was so good we ate there twice. If you are there during asparagus season be sure to order the white asparagus meals-omg so good. Very generous servings! We splurged and had the $80 euro 10 year old Roseneck riesling was so good we had both nights!! Free parking if you book direct too. Easy walk to everything! The family are all lovely and the 12 bell tower rings hourly 10-10. Music every night in the restaurant to give you a great German experience. Such a lovely town to wander around. We did the half day pass which you book at visitor centre, 2 cable cars. A lovely walk, views and short river cruise. Great half day option!! Fabulous

Update July: Light Lunch on a Cozy Outdoor Terrace Enjoyed a light lunch on a cozy outdoor terrace with a Riesling cheese soup, Hessian tapas, Karl's homemade noodles with tomato sauce, and a Winer Art schnitzel (Ebbes von de Wutz). Wonderful location with excellent dishes and great value for money. Breuer's Rüdesheimer Schloss, situated along the renowned Drosselgasse in Rüdesheim, boasts a spacious interior with various dining areas and a notable terrace featuring a famous carillon. Live music regularly enhances the central hall's ambiance. The extensive menu showcases regional dishes and specialties, including local game, schnitzels, and pork cheeks. The impressive wine selection includes George Breuer's wines and the splendid Spätburgunder from weingut Robert König. With delicious dishes and friendly, hospitable service, it stands out as a recommended choice away from the tourist-heavy spots in Rüdesheim's most famous street.
