Schlosshotel Rüdesheim — Restaurant in Rüdesheim am Rhein

Looking for vegan places in Rüdesheim (like many other tourist spots across the world) was a challenge at best. Google reviews were limited and typing ‘vegan near me’ was becoming irritating. The only promising leads were places that were closed at the time of typing.

So I resorted to wandering the streets and sifting through hundreds of dishes (which for a tourist town were rarely translated from German), to inevitably find that the only plates on offer that don’t contain animal products were the green salad and French fries. This is a depressingly common experience for the herbivore.

So after much hunting and my hunger increasing, I was delighted to find this place. They have 2x easily veganizable main dishes and one crisp and fresh side salad. For my main I chose the pasta with mushrooms, cherry tomatoes, cabbage and sunflower seeds - which was served in a delicious broth and cooked to perfection. The wine was great. The service impeccable. Romana, Arpak and Jakub all went above and beyond to make my dining experience thoroughly enjoyable and memorable.

An example of their exceptional hospitality; when I came into the restaurant and asked if they had any vegan options, Jakob pointed out all of my options clearly from the menu and found me a nicely laid out table. Without yet knowing of my dietary choices, Romana promptly brought me some fresh tasting rye bread which clearly had a dairy sauce for dipping. Quickly and subtly, the two shared words and without being asked, Romana took away the secretion and brought back some olive oil to accompany my bread.

10/10 would recommend eating here if you’re vegan and hungry in Rüdesheim. They also have oat and soy milk for your coffee - a surprisingly rare...

Wir waren zu Besuch auf einem Wochenendausflug mit 14 Personen welche z.T. selber in der Gastronomie tätig sind. Wir wurden am Freitag toll begrüßt und haben den Nachmittag im Schlossgarten angenehm verbracht. Haben danach andere Örtlichkeiten abgeklappert. Waren Abends wieder im Schlossgarten wo uns zum Schluss schon der nervige Junge Mann auffiel, welcher uns bediente. Morgens tolles Personal welches uns mit Frühstück versorgte. Abends waren wir bei Live-Musik wieder im Schlossgarten, in welchem wir versuchten 14 Personen an einen Tisch zu bringen. Es wurde uns UNTERSAGT Tische/Stühle zu verschieben, damit wir alle zusammen sitzen können. Nach dem es lautstarke Argumentationen gab, wurden wir nicht nur wieder von der sehr unfreundlichen männlichen Bedienung, sondern auch von der Geschäftsführung auf deren Hausrecht aufmerksam gemacht. Genau so hatten wir uns den Ausflug vorgestellt. Der eine Teil der Gruppe sitzt hier, der andere wo anders. Ein solches Verhalten, gerade da wo der Kunde König sein sollte, hat selbst die Geschäftsführerin versagt. Ich habe in meinem Leben schon viel bereist, aber so etwas habe ich noch nie erlebt. Wir haben zusammen an diesem Wochenende locker über 3000.-€ liegen lassen, um dann so eine Abfuhr zu bekommen. Am nächsten Tag gab es kein guten Morgen oder auf Wiedersehen. Wir werden diesen Laden nicht mehr betreten. Tut mir leid für alle anderen Bedienungen, welche wirklich fürsorglich waren. Aber manche Menschen müssen dort noch ganz...

The vibes in here are UNMATCHED! Live music, the dancing, the food, the service and the bier! Such an amazing experience, would highly recommend dining here if you get a chance!
