EN VILLE - Trattoria Winebar - Gelsomino — Restaurant in Reutlingen

I recently had the pleasure of dining at EN VILLE - Trattoria Winebar - Gelsomino, an exquisite Italian restaurant located in the heart of Reutlingen, Germany. As an invitee, I entered the restaurant with high expectations, all of which were surpassed during my delightful culinary experience.

From the moment I stepped in, I was embraced by the warm and welcoming atmosphere of the restaurant. The interior exuded a rustic charm, creating a cozy and inviting ambiance that immediately set the tone for a memorable evening.

The staff at EN VILLE was nothing short of fantastic. They were attentive, friendly, and demonstrated a remarkable ability to cater to a diverse clientele. I was particularly impressed by their multilingual capabilities, as they fluently communicated in English, Dutch, and Italian, ensuring that every guest felt comfortable and well attended to.

The highlight of my visit was undoubtedly the food. I opted for a salad followed by a steak, both of which were impeccably prepared and presented. The salad was fresh, vibrant, and packed with flavor, while the steak was cooked to perfection, juicy, and seasoned just right. It was evident that the chefs at EN VILLE take great pride in their work, using only the finest ingredients to create dishes that are a true celebration of Italian cuisine.

The restaurant boasts an extensive à la carte menu, along with specials of the day that showcase the culinary team’s creativity and expertise. The prices were reasonable, offering great value for the quality of food and service provided.

A special mention must be made of the vast selection of wines and drinks available. Whether you are a wine connoisseur or simply looking to enjoy a drink with your meal, EN VILLE has something to suit...

Not bad but (way!) overrated. Made reservations and were seated right away but then asked to move onto the street for a larger group. Silverware was dirty. Limited drinks menu. Also, it was unusual to bring out the bottles of wine already opened vs opening table side. They mixed up our food order and wanted our complete order placed at the beginning (seems unusual for an Italian restaurant). Food was good and well presented... just several hiccups and at this price point and these reviews I had higher...

Kurzfristig einen Tisch für zwei Personen erhalten, netter Empfang unter Beachtung der Corona Auflagen (5 Sterne).

Wir starteten mit einem Aperitif "Hugo", dieser war gut jedoch im Vergleich zu anderen Restaurants ungewöhnlich klein.

Der Kellner bot an nach 10 Minuten den Tisch in der Mitte zu wechseln nachdem andere Gäste gegangen waren (5 Sterne) und gab sich viel Mühe bei der Weinauswahl. Subjektiv haben uns die beiden Weine leider nicht überzeugt.

Im Kellergewölbe war es durch andere Gäste insgesamt zu laut; der angedachte romantische Abend war damit nicht zu erreichen (1 Stern für die Atmosphäre und die schlechte Beleuchtung)

Wir waren über die sehr kleine Karte für Speisen überrascht die noch kleiner wurde wenn man keine Pasta wollte oder Safran in der Sauce für den Fisch.

Wir entschieden uns für zwei Vorspeisen; der Salat für 5,30€ war zu klein - schmeckte jedoch gut, die andere Vorspeise Vittelo Tonato war sehr lecker, jedoch optisch eher unter dem angestrebten Niveau.

Der Hauptgang (Schmorfleisch mit Gemüse) war dann unsere große Enttäuschung; die Portionen für 24,50€ viel zu klein, die Sauce war O. k., jedoch unterhalb unserer Erwartung zu dem aufgerufenen Preis. Der "50%- Anteil" am Gemüse durch Paprika war zu hoch, eine der drei Kartoffelstückchen war zu roh - insgesamt zu wenig Sättigungsbeilage.

Das gereichte Brot war nicht mehr ganz frisch.

Insgesamt konnte uns EN VILLE nicht überzeugen - der Service bekommt 5 Sterne - durch die genannten Abzüge leider nur 3...
