The place looked ok. But the grilling was not so Korea. We first grilled the samgyupsal. There's no way to drain the oil so u literally fry the pork belly in it's own oil. The cut is very thin and small. After the samgyupsal, we asked the waiter to change the pan, as what u usually do in Korea. They often change the pans to avoid cooking it dark. But the waiter just laughed at us and told us that how could we cook the others then without the oil. So it turned out the grilling turns to frying in PORK BELLY's oil. Very unhealthy opposed to the Korean healthy living and food. Also, it's difficult to cook on their pan cuz it was sticking and their cut of the meats were all thin. The taste were ok though but knowing u fried in pork BELLY's oil was disgusting. The side dishes were fine and they have good kimchi. Service was ok. But not at par to korean service. A bit expensive for a very thinly sliced meat. And u ended up smelling like BBQ cuz the air circulation was just very bad. Won't come back again for the BBQ. I suggest u try different Korean restaurants around the area. Theirs is far from the real healthy, yummy Korean BBQ. They have good...

Would be better if there is more marinated pork option. Personally I like the pork belly and miso pork from the bbq set. The beef is not marinated, and it’s not a good option (beef part) for bbq use 🥸 the marinated chicken breast hmm okay I am also not a fan of chicken breast so yeah.
The set comes with a few sauces (which 2 of the sauce adapted German preferences, but no harm because they still serve Korean bbq sauces), the side dishes are all refillable, and also appreciate that when I requested for garlics they could provide it 😀 The grilling paper also can be exchanged when it’s not in good condition anymore 👍🏻
The kimchi jjigae was not bad, not too spicy and sour. The steam egg (eiertisch) is just average, slightly underseasoned, but the texture is good.
Overall, I would recommend it, we did had a pleasant dinner experience here!
Just be aware that after dining, you will smell...
Read moreI've eaten from Koogi before and I've found the food to be delicious, albeit a bit expensive. However, this was my first time trying the BBQ and while the meat selection was very good, I was very disappointed by the Banchan (side dishes). A big component of Korean BBQ are the Banchan. They are to be shared and add great flavour to the grilled meat when eaten together or even as a palate cleanser. The banchan here tasted very westernised or at least just a selection of "Asian" (not korean) sides. The kimchi was very sour and tasted off, but it could be just old (I have a preference for new). The spring onion salad was dry with no flavour and the potato contained no sweet soy flavour.
The dipping sauces were delicious, but it did taste like the sesame oil was cut with some neutral oil.
I will eat here again as the service and location is good, but I won't go out of my way to...
