#heimat im Badischen Hof — Restaurant in Vereinbarte Verwaltungsgemeinschaft Bühl

Was looking forward to a nice steak here since it comes highly recommended. When I was shown to my table, there was a dog blanket, dog bowl and biscuits on the floor next to my table. Other folk in the restaurant kept looking over and smiling at me and looking at the blanket like thee was some sort of " in joke ". I placed my order of Rump Steak Medium to well. When it arrived it was practically rare. I can eat a rare steak but that's not what I ordered since this was a new restaurant to me I did not want to risk rare. Another table who had been waiting longer than me got their order a few minutes later. But then they had to send the food back. I did not complain as the Restaurant was very busy and my German language Skills are very poor. But a restaurant that prides itself on its " Green Egg" BBQ meat should be able to produce what I ordered. The desert and beer were very good. The food is great and some of the service is ok, but the over all service level is just so far below the food. We took the 3 course vegetarian menu with 12-13 people, very delicious, but overall to small portion sizes, it looked like they where not ready for such a big group at all, after asking us if we wanted to get the desert now or later we told them now and it still took them super long.

After that we went to the bar, where we wanted to order some more food, but the service didn't know if the kitchen was still open, and only told us after questioning him once more 30 minutes later. Wir hatten letzten Sommer bei euch die Taufe unseres Kindes und waren seither immer mal wieder bei euch. Zur Taufe: Wir hatten eine wirklich tolle Absprache mit der Küche und dem Service, ihr habt die Deko fast noch schöner gemacht als es angedacht war und die Tafel war parallel zum Bächle. Traumhaft. Es hätte nicht schöner sein können. Beim Essen seid ihr auch auf meine - zugegebenermaßen - etwas schwierigen Vorstellungen eingegangen und so hatten wir für die Vorspeise und den Nachtisch fixe Gerichte und variable Möglichkeiten für den Hauptgang. Die Portionen waren ordentlich und egal von welchem Gast: es kam nur dickes Lob in eure Richtung! Sorry für die verspätete Bewertung :) In der Zwischenzeit waren wir erneut bei euch - zuletzt vor einer Woche, zu Beginn der Spargelsaison. Toll! Leckere Sauce, Spargel auf den Punkt und die Bärlauchpfannkuchen waren auch super dazu! Für das Kind gab es einen Räuberteller und ein Wasser - eine super nette Bedienung inklusive.
