We arrived at the time of the booking, 18h00. The waiter brought water for the table and said he'd bring the menus when our party was complete. 2 members of the party were delayed. At 18h30 I called the waiter to say we didn't want to wait anymore and wanted to order even if we weren't yet a complete party.

We ordered and got our drinks and placed our food order before 19h00 around the time the remaining guests arrived.

Those who ordered starters were brought their starters at the same time as the bread we ordered for the table.

Then we waited for 2,5 hours.

In that time no waitrons voluntarily came to attend to us. They never offered us anything else to eat or drink or gave us any updates. Around us table after table received their food.

We called a waiter and asked how long the food would take and if we could order drinks, and were told it wouldn't be long, but it was.

After calling waiters and asking again, one of our party went to the kitchen to ask when the food would come, explaining that we'd waited for 2 hours. He argued with this, saying we had ordered later than we had. As a guest at our table has diabetes and carefully tracks when he eats, he knew exactly how long we'd waited.

We were told in 5 or 7 minutes. The explanation given was that all the tables had arrived simultaneously and the fish (ordered by 3 parties) had to be prepared separately. This explanation was only given because we asked.

It took another 20 minutes after that, and we again had to ask for drinks. After the initial orders, we were never attended to again, unless we requested it.

The food was very delicious when it came, the quality of everything was excellent and it was clear it was all fresh.

The room is beautifully appointed (although stiflingly hot on a sweltering summer night, with no through breeze or fans). The tableware, linen, silverware high quality and everything spotless.

However sauces were served without serving spoons and staff never approached us without being called.

German law stipulates that if you wait that long for a meal you are entitled to compensation.

At the end, the boss apologised and gave an excuse, but offered no form of compensation.

Conclusion, the restaurant has a lot going for it, but needs more staff on busy nights and they need to be trained with dealing with situations when things go wrong as they were friendly when we were able to get their attention.

It would benefit from a better form of ventilation in the summer months.

It's advisable, especially with larger groups, to pre-order food to avoid delays, the food is good quality...

Wir haben gehört es gibt einen neuen Besitzer in der Bonnetshöhe. Das mussten wir gleich mal testen. An sich ist das Ambiente sehr einladend und es lädt ein zum verweilen. Im Hintergrund läuft beruhigende Klassische Musik was auch zum Ambiente passt.

Wir bestellten á la carte. Ein Apperetiv wurde uns nicht angeboten. Eine Empfehlung außerhalb der Karte gab es auch nicht. Ein Gruß aus der Küche gab es auch nicht. Es wurde uns vorab auch kein Brot mit Olivenöl oder sonstiges serviert.

Für die gehoben Schiene einzuschlagen, fehlt es leider noch an Service. Das kann ja aber verbessert werden.

Auf der Weinkarte gibt es eine durchschnittliche Auswahl, jedoch nicht wirklich etwas besonderes dabei. Der Service ist sehr zuvorkommend und es wurden all unsere Wünsche berücksichtigt. Geschmacklich ist die Pizza eine 8/10. Der Teig ist leicht knusprig, jedoch fehlt es etwas am Geschmack der verwendeten Zutaten. Trotz der relativ gehobenen Preise fehlte uns das Gewisse etwas.

Fazit: An sich keine schlechte Sache, allerdings für den „Preis“, kennen wir andere Adressen mit mehr...

Nachdem wir vor längerer Zeit dort gut gegessen haben, sind wir mit Freunden dort wieder hin. Eine einzige Katastrophe im Nachhinein. Der zuvor reservierte Tisch für 4 war ungeeignet für die Personenzahl. Wir mussten lange warten um zu bestellen. Die Bedienung war sichtlich genervt und unfreundlich. Die Tageskarte ( TAFEL) wurde uns leider nicht angeboten. Meine Frage zum Salat ob auch grüner blattsalat dabei wäre, wurde bejaht. Erhalten habe ich einen sehr übersichtlichen Rucola, Tomate, Gurke, Zwiebel Salat bei dem der Schafskäse ( angeblich ausgegangen) durch Mozzarella ersetzt wurde für runde 10€. Nach dem Essen wurden wir ignoriert. Keiner fragte ob wir noch was trinken wollen o ein Dessert haben möchten. Auch nach dem zahlen wurde kein espresso, averna.. angeboten. Den einen * gebe ich für die Einrichtung/ das Ambiente. Noch ein Tip für die Betreiber.. es macht einen besseren Eindruck wenn Bedienungen schwarz oder schwarz/ weiss tragen oder ev. Hemd und nicht in Freizeitbekleidung und...
