My wife and I are stereotypical Americans that love French fries and beer. We stopped for a beer and fries while waiting for our train after the thermals, as it’s right by the station. Oh my god. I wasn’t expecting to have the best fries of my life. Not even an exaggeration. And we’re from idaho, so we know potatoes. We took them to go and sneakily ate them on the train because it would be a travesty to leave any of these fries uneaten. Although I know we’ll soon be halfway around the world, these fries may be the thing that some day bring us back to Germany. We went to this place because it had a lot of good reviews and they are well deserved. It's a small place that you easily walk past but it's worth it.

The food was really good! Sadly my German isn't that great to provide the original dish names. I had an Argentine steak with potato and ratatouille instead of salad and my wife had homemade Maultaschen with ratatouille.

We recommend both and definitely go for the ratatouille instead of the salad, you get that everywhere else. :p

If you're on the terrace, you have a good view of the hills and part of the town.
