Bella Vista Friedrichshafen — Restaurant in Verwaltungsgemeinschaft Friedrichshafen

We had reserved a table in the first floor, where you have a wonderful view over the lake. We did this as we had guests around and it was their first time at lake constance...

So we arrived at the set time only to learn that they had no table available, even so this was a premise to reserve the table at the first place. (so there is that star missing)

We got seated at the deck, which is nicely covered and protected from the breeze that was coming from the west.

Once service was aware that we got seated they where friendly, and on top of things, ordering is possible in Babylonian languages as they speak all kinds of languages from Italian to Spanish, Portuguese, Croatian, etc....

The food arrived a bit too late imho, but still within a proper time frame, the place was very busy and so was the whole area.

Quality was very good. The steak was as requested, the accompanying vegetables where seasoned nicely and still had some bite to them.

Salads had a wonderful vegan dressing, not to sour.

The bread sticks where fresh and crusty.

Pizza came fresh and steaming hot from the oven.

The drinks options are good as well, from Beer to Wine to Aperol but also juices and fresh house made lemonade...

Prices are acceptable and qualified for what they provide.

All in all a very good experience, we surely...

We were there on a busy evening with a reservation. However, somehow the reservation did not reflect in their system and we wanted to sit outside and get a chance to eat by the river. we were first offered a table which was exposed to sun and we were burnt as it was super hot (33 degrees). We requested to sit inside as other tables outside were offered to people without reservation and those that came later than us. Inspite of multiple requests we were not given a place to sit. The lady insisted there was no place else than the spot in sun which was just not true as there were empty spots we could have moved and that were under the shade covered by umbrella. The person who took our order finally came to our rescue and provided us with a seat under the shade. Surprise Surprise no one wanted to sit on that one table that was right under the sun 😔 this is the time when the person accepted that their new staff doesn't understand the value to customer's need and experience at the restaurant and just wants every table to be full. We were very lucky to fall upon Bella Vista on our first visit to Friedrichshafen. Not knowing the area we just wandered around close to where we were staying to find somewhere to eat. We looked at other venues & menus but found the BV to be the most welcoming & appealing. We were warmly greeted by Edward & asked for our preference of table. I had the prawn linguine & my wife the arrabiata with an additional salad. Everything was extremely tasty & well presented.
