KoKoNo Heidenheim — Restaurant in Verwaltungsgemeinschaft Heidenheim an der Brenz

It's a nice little restaurant with japanese-style seating: You'll most likely sit at one of their long tables right next to or even in between people you don't even know. That's just a normal thing over there in Japan.

The restaurant generally is very crowded, so if you plan on going there you should make a reservation in advance.

It's quite pricey but also very nice quality and they also put a lot of effort in the "presentation" of your food. The servings look fancy - some of them even are served with liquid nitrogen which adds a nice fog effect.

Also some of the seats offer a direct view into the kitchen area, so if you're lucky you can even watch the chefs how they prepare the food!

Why 4/5 and not 5 stars? When I was there, there was a really stange smell in the air, not sure what it actually was... unfortunately that made my meal less enjoyable. I pray that it's not always like that - my friend who was with me had no complaints though.

In the area where I live I would pay approximately 10~15% less for exactly the same nice quality of sushi, so I feel like it's slightly more expensive than it should be.

If you're into sushi or other Japanese and Asian food I can definitely recommend to pay them a visit at least once regarding the food you won't be...

Wir waren das Schloss in Heidenheim besuchen und anschließend den Wildburg. Dadurch hatten wir Hunger und wir suchten uns nach kurzer Suche dieses Restaurant aus. Wir wurden nicht enttäuscht.

Positives: Da ich schon mehrfach in Japan war und ich daher sehr kritisch bin, was asiatisches besonders japanisches Essen angeht, muss ich gestehen, dass der Reis zumindest in Deutschland bisher der beste war, welches ich essen konnte.

Ich hatte die "60 Black”Süß-SauerSauce (Siehe Foto) Der Tofu war wirklich lecker und das Gemüse auch. Die Soße war leicht scharf (aber nicht zu scharf, zumindest für Leute die Scharf essen können).

Mir hat es also geschmeckt und ich würde es weiterempfehlen. Die Preisklasse ist eher gehobener als günstig. Besonders bei den Getränken.

Meine subjektive Empfindung war, dass das Essen schon sehr lange gedauert hat, obwohl das Restaurant nicht sehr voll war. Frisch war jedenfalls alles.

Kritik:

Das einzige was nicht nur mich gestört hat, war das der Chef immer direkt hinter einen Stand und uns "beobachtet" hat. Das macht einen verdammt nervös. Auch weil er ständig in den Rest engen Gastraum durch die Gegend gesprungen ist und immer wieder in die Küche gerannt ist. Als es dann aber zum bezahlen ging, mussten wir wieder Recht lange warten.

Fazit:

Lecker panasiatische Küche. Für jedem Geschmack etwas dabei. Auch für Veganer und Vegetarier. Preisklasse aber ein wenig höher als bei einem "normalen" Asiaten. Die gute Qualität ist der höhere Preis aber wert. Nur der Service dürfte ein wenig besser sein. Dann gibt es 5...
