Rossini restaurant, conveniently located in the city center, just a two-minute walk from the train station, bus stop, and ATMs, offers a delightful dining experience. The bruschetta starter is a standout dish, setting the tone for a delicious meal ahead. As they say, the quality of the bruschetta can often indicate the caliber of the main course in an Italian restaurant, and Rossini does not disappoint.

The main courses are equally impressive, bursting with flavor and satisfyingly portioned. While the food is excellent, the service could use some improvement. Despite the innovative button system for calling the waiter and paying the bill, wait times were longer than expected, and attention to customer needs could be enhanced.

Nevertheless, the ambience is inviting and comfortable, providing a pleasant setting for a meal with friends or family. Overall, Rossini offers a compelling dining experience, and despite the service hiccups, I would gladly return for another taste of their...

I will begin with mentioning that the food is decent, where the risotto imperial was quite well made. However the entire experience here was ruin with an interaction with a male staff (I suspect he is the manager judging by his full black fit).

The wait for the food was very long, where we waited around 30 minutes for the food. While waiting, we rang for service and simply ask the male staff for an update on the progress of our meal. To our shock, he replied us extremely condescendingly. He said “this is not like McDonald’s, we are a restaurant that needs around 10-15 minutes to prepare”. We were definitely shocked at such a response, and further said that we have already waited for 30 minutes. Instead of telling us he will check, he further stood his ground that it takes time for them to prepare.

Overall, this could have been a decent experience but was completely ruined by such a rude response. This is definitely not the hospitality that a full service restaurant...

Vor unserem Besuch auf dem Weihnachtsmarkt in Konstanz entschieden wir uns für ein italienisches Abendessen im Rossini. Da wir die Restaurantkette bereits aus der Schweiz kannten, waren wir neugierig, die Speisen hier zu testen.

Das Restaurant ist sehr schön eingerichtet und bietet ein angenehmes Ambiente. Beeindruckt hat uns der innovative Service: An jedem Tisch gab es eine "Service-Box" mit LED-Farben, über die man signalisieren konnte, wann man bestellen oder bezahlen möchte. Eine Idee, die wir beide zuvor noch nie gesehen hatten, aber als sehr praktisch empfanden.

Die Speisekarte bot eine solide Auswahl an bekannten italienischen Gerichten, und die Preise waren fair.

Unsere Bestellung: Vorspeise: Bruschetta. Ich: Pizza mit Parma-Schinken. Meine Freundin: Penne a la Bolognese.

Die Speisen: Bruschetta: Als Vorspeise wählten wir Bruschetta, die etwas anders serviert wurde als gewöhnlich: Statt fertig belegter Brote bekamen wir feine, geröstete Brotscheiben und die Zutaten zum Selbstbestreichen. Diese unübliche Art fanden wir dennoch lecker, da man sie so nach eigenem Geschmack belegen konnte. Leider habe ich von dieser Vorspeise keine Fotos gemacht. Pizza: Meine Pizza war lecker, besonders der Teig, der für mich immer ein wichtiger Indikator für gute Handwerkskunst ist. Der Boden war geschmackvoll und hätte auch ohne Belag überzeugen können. Der Parma-Schinken wurde gegen Ende frisch auf die Pizza gelegt, genau wie es sein sollte. Insgesamt war die Pizza sehr gut – nicht herausragend, aber definitiv überzeugend. Penne a la Bolognese: Meine Freundin fand ihre Pasta ebenfalls gut, allerdings fehlte ihr das gewisse Etwas, weshalb sie sie eher als "befriedigend" (3 von 5) bewertete. Beim Probieren empfand ich sie eher als solide 4 von 5, mit Luft nach oben.

Fazit: Das Rossini in Konstanz hat uns insgesamt überzeugt. Die Atmosphäre, das freundliche und schnelle Personal sowie das innovative Service-System tragen zu einem positiven Gesamteindruck bei. Die Speisen – von der Bruschetta über die Pizza bis zu den Penne – waren gut bis sehr gut, und wir freuen uns darauf, bei einem zukünftigen Besuch weitere Gerichte auszuprobieren.
