I recently visited the Irish Pub and I thought the fries and dips were very delicious and the portions were also really big. However, the service was very bad, which made the whole experience quite disappointing. My friend and I had to wait for a long time because the servers kept having long conversations with other customers. Gemütlicher Pub mit einer schönen Außenanlage. Sehr zu empfehlen bei angenehmen warmen Sommerabenden. Die Mitarbeiter sind sehr freundlich.

Leider muss ich jetzt zum negativen Punkt kommen, das Essen. Ich habe eine Zöliakie (Glutenunverträglichkeit). In der Speisekarte ist alles mit Weizen gekennzeichnet. Bei der Bestellung habe ich nachgefragt ob es möglich ist mein Gericht (die Ofenkartoffel Natur) glutenfrei zuzubereiten. Die Kellnerin stimmte zu und sie hatte es auch extra notiert. Anscheinend müsste in dem Salatdressing Weizen enthalten sein, deshalb wurde bei mir dann das Salatdressing weggelassen. Als das Gericht kam schien alles gut zu sein. Es sah nach einer überbackenen Kartoffel in Tomatensoße mit einem Salat ohne Dressing aus. Es hat super geschmeckt keine Frage, aber leider ging es mir kurz danach sehr schlecht, was noch einige Tage anhalten wird. Das bedeutet es muss versteckt Gluten in irgend einer Form vorhanden gewesen sein.

Deshalb meine Bitte an den Koch/Köchin:

Gluten kann sich in so vielem verstecken, in Gemüsebrühe oder Gewürze in Form von Weizenstärke oder Gerstenmalzextrakt. Bitte vorher genau prüfen, wenn Kunden das erwähnen, was in euren Produkten drin steckt die ihr für eure Gerichte verwendet… 🙏🏼 Es ist leider so schwer mit einer Glutenunverträglichkeit im Raum Villingen-Schwenningen Essen zu gehen. Für mich war das hier leider auch das letzte mal zum Essen. Aber auf ein Getränk komme ich jeder Zeit wieder. Deshalb leider nur 3...
