Gasthaus Ott — Restaurant in Verwaltungsgemeinschaft Villingen-Schwenningen

Have been here twice now. Both times have left a very good impression on me. The staff are friendly and very competent. The food has a high quality for its price albeit not perfect. The atmosphere is very relaxing and makes you feel like a local. The inside is very unique, well kept and clean (that includes the bathrooms) The place is not perfect & nor should it be. It imperfections makes it a great experience and it has become my new favourite restaurant to bring...

The food is excellent. We tried the vegetarian options: Rosti with Mushroom sauce. Potatoes were crisp and at right consistency. The mushroom sauce was flavorful with different types of mushroom, each type cooked to it's best consistency. Mocha creme brulle. The creme brulle was quite yummy and platted with berries sauce, cream and fresh berries. The combination tasted very good.

We visited here occasionally on the way from Schaffhausen to Strasbourg, and it was really a good experience.

The staff spoke excellent English and very friendly. We ordered a seafood pasta, beef rosti and schnitzel, the pasta noodle was excellent and rosti is definitely homemade with super crispy texture. More importantly, both sauces are mouth watering!
