I suggest the management to take a look at all the lowest rating reviews of your restaurant. The main complaint is neither food nor ambience. And most of the staff are professional and cordial. But a few very rude members of your staff are the ones responsible for low ratings in all cases. So please take note.

One might say it's because of the language barrier. But in a tourist village like Meersburg, there will be lots of tourists from all over the world. And not all of them can speak German. A little positive gesture, even without words, would be much appreciated by those tourists who come to your door, hungry and tired, and willing to pay for some hospitality. After all, restaurants are part of the hospitality industry, right?

We went there for a second visit within a month, because the first one was a good experience..with decent food, cozy ambience, well placed seats for a beautiful view, and most importantly cordial staff. BUT after this second visit, I don't think we'll go again. Entrance was smooth...someone welcomed us, checked and scanned our vaccination QR codes. After that was the rendezvous with the 'rude one', who refused to let us sit at a table we chose, and for no apparent reason. We wanted a corner table that was vacant, for the three of us. But he forced us to sit next to it. No idea why. He just yelled, literally, "it's prohibited!". No explanation. Almost like a commander to a marching army! Every one looked at our direction. It was very awkward and amusing too. How does one react to such uncivil behaviour? Besides, the corner table wasn't reserved anyway. We were very puzzled, but stayed, not wanting to escalate the matter.

Later, the server at our table was extremely polite, probably to compensate for his colleague's behaviour. But the damage was done.

Good food is available in most restaurants, but personally, I value good hospitality much more. People eat out on special occasions and holidays with friends and family. The point is to relax and have a good time. Meeting rude people spoils the entire experience. I won't risk that again here. Heute zum zweiten Mal in Meersburg gewesen und auf Empfehlung ins Fährhaus zum Abendessen gegangen. Es war leider die reinste Katastrophe! Am Tisch angekommen stellten wir sehr schnell die Unsauberkeit an diesem Fest. Das Restaurant macht einen vollen Eindruck jedoch nicht überfüllt. Die Bedienung lies lange auf sich warten. Als diese dann an unserem Tisch ankam war sie sehr unfreundlich und nahm unsere Bestellung eher gelangweilt und desinteressiert auf. Zu unserer Bestellung wurden uns Soßen wie Majo und Ketchup angeboten die wir annahmen. Die Getränke wurden dann recht schnell gebracht. Meine Begleitung und ich bestellten einen Burger mit Beilage. Das Essen wurde sehr spät serviert. Als die Bedienung die beiden Teller brachte, wurden diese einfach ohne zu fragen wer welchen Burger bestellt hatte auf den Tisch gestellt. Als ich fragte, welcher Burger meiner wäre (beide sahen gleich aus) konnte die Bedienung mir die Frage nicht beantworten da sie sehr wahrscheinlich nur schlecht deutsch sprach. Die Bedienung zeigte einfach auf irgendeinen Burger und verschwand zügig. Ich musste quer über den Tisch greifen um mir den Teller zu nehme da dieser wie bereits erwähnt einfach irgendwo auf den Tisch gestellt wurde. Die Soßen waren wie nicht anders zu erwarten nicht dabei. Hier musste meine Begleitung den Soßen sowie den Kellnern hinterher rennen. Nach einer Weile kam sie dann mit einem Teller und den Soßen wieder. In dieser Zeit sind die sowieso schon fast kalten Burger komplett kalt gewesen. Der Geschmack war einfach nur schlecht. Da isst man in jedem Schnellrestaurant viel besser. Weiterhin stellten wir beim zweiten Bissen fest, das die Burger vertauscht waren. Aufgrund der Ähnlichkeit konnten wir dies nicht vorher feststellen. Besten Dank an den Kellner der uns das nicht gesagt hat. Zum krönenden Abschluss wurden wir kein einziges Mal mehr nach was weiteren zu trinken gefragt und der Bezahlung mussten wir am Ende auch noch hinterher rennen. Ganze drei mal habe ich den Kellner gebeten die Rechnung zu bringen. Am Ende haben wir drinnen an der Bar bezahlt, weil es einfach keinen interessiert hat. Der Besuch dort war die reinste Katastrophe die ich in so einer Art und Weise noch nie in meinem Leben erlebt habe. Dreckige Tische und Sanitäranlagen, unfreundliche und sehr schlechte Bedienung, totale Überforderung und das Essen war eine miese Qualität. Um einen positiven Punkt anzubringen war der Preis OK. Very nice place with a great location on the Lakefront! The interior is beautifully decorated. The Pizza selection is good and the one that I ordered was Pizza Cappriciossi and was very tasty and very fulfilling. The size was really good for the pizza. They have a good beer collectrion too including on tap beer as well. The staff was courteous and has made good arrangements for all patrons in the times of this corona crisis with distance in seating, sanitisers at entry and servers wearing proper protective gears. Overall the ambience, the view and the food and beer were very very good. I will surely recommend it to others...
