Restaurant Primavera — Restaurant in Weimar

This is a review for the restaurant when we used to visit it around two years ago. I don’t know how it is now but we really liked this place. We were in Weimar for a year and this was the first restaurant that welcomed us so warmly. I wish I had known the names of the staff because they were so friendly and treated us so well, always with a smile. Even though we were outsiders, they did not discriminate. The pizzas were very good, too. Visiting from Chicago, Illinois, USA and cannot say enough great things about Restaurant Primavera. Our German language is not great, but our host family could translate. No need. Our server spoke 4 languages. The salads were fresh and of very good portions. Our party had pizza and pasta. BEST PENNE ARRIBIATA EVER!!! The restaurant setting is nice, not too fancy but practical. I had chicken with mushrooms, vegetables and potatoes. The taste was good but there was WAY too much oil and cream sauce, the food was swimming in it. Perhaps the authentic Italian dishes are better, but I haven’t had a chance to try any.
