Imperial Peking Chinese Restaurant — Restaurant in Accra

I just left this restaurant (at airport res area) having experienced the absolute worst service and very bad food. My daughter and I were the 2nd people in there this evening and ordered the most basic Chinese food. Our appetizers took 1 hour and 15 minutes. That should have been a red flag! When we asked why it took soo long, the waiter said dumplings take about 20 minutes to prepare. It had been 1 hour and 15 minutes!! It took another 15 minutes to get the entrees. By this time 3 different families who came in (way after us) had all been served!!. We kept asking any waiter who passed by to please call our waiter. He never showed. I was ready to just leave. Finally when our entree was served, fried rice was barely warm, sweet and sour pork was cold, rubbery and tased like it was cooked in vinegar. There was no pork in the flour coating of the sweet and sour pork. After 2 bites of this I spat it out. The prawn vegetable sauce was room temperature. When we complained to the manger, all he could say was "ok"!! Food was bad. Service was bad. Horrible experience and ruined our evening. I will never go back. Do not go to this...

This place is just brilliant, its out of the way but i would go there over and over again. Great date night restaurant, it looks intimate, definitely a place to dress up for. Family style food service so food comes to the table and you dish it out amoung yourselves. The service is top notch, waiters are attentive and accommodating and arsenal beat real madrid 3 - 0 but i digress... i really wish i took more pictures to show you the food. The prawn toast is literally the best prawn toast i have ever had and ive eaten at a lot of chinese restaurants in multiple countries barre China... As an african though a little black pepper on there and you can have the spice but even without, it was amazing. Definitely recommend it. If your child has passed their exams, if you are having an anniversary, if its your first date, please go here and enjoy a peaceful atmosphere, delicious food and feel like you have been wined and dined. Our experience was great in all areas and its not just because Aresenal beat Real Madrid 3-0. There is definitely something for everyone...

This place must be a joke. Ordered the spare ribs and combination noodle soup. The ribs were dry and barely any sauce on it. Looked like leftover ribs that had been tossed in oil and reserved. The noodle soup was soggy and tasteless. Their idea of flavor was saturating it in sesame oil. My friend ordered prawn n fried rice which they said was ok (I didn’t taste it).

Sent back the ribs n noodles and we asked for the prawns to go. They made sure to put both the noodles n ribs in the to go bag (I guess to make sure we paid for it?) Not that we weren’t going to but would have appreciated if staff or management bothered to ask what the issue with the meal was. I guess they are used to unsatisfied clientele.

Guest appearance made by not 1, but 2 cockroaches on the table (guess the second one came in search of his buddy?). The staff’s attitude when their attention was called to it was one of being bothered.
